  1. Hey guys, I have an alienware 13 with a GTX 1060 and it reaches up to 80-87 degrees celsius when playing overwatch or warframe. Is this too hot? I know its ok for the GPU and CPU but I would prefer it to be cooler, any ideas on how to improve temps without repasting it?
  2. I'm probably going to go with the Alienware 13... it has the best cooling and the best screen out of the 3 and I don't mind the extra weight or bulk. The graphics amp for Alienware is also better so is upgradability so this one seems to be the best choice. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this thread!
  3. oh that's true... what about the Razer blade then? I was looking at that compared to the alienware 13 and the MSI GS63VR, everyone says the MSI and Razer Blade run really hot. Though my usage is not particularly demanding
  4. how is the aero 14 not so good, i was actually thinking about that one cuz of the "normal" keyboard and trackpad placement with relatively the same performance as the aero 15, I was just worried about cooling issues with the 14 but i'm thinking with just gaming, light video editing, streaming it wont be as big of an issue
  5. or is there a better option than these 2 around the same price range and specs?
  6. Hi all, I'm a student going to college this year and need help picking out a laptop. I'm currently running a MacBook Pro 13-inch retina (2015 model) and am looking at 2 laptops as choices - XPS 15 i7-7700 HQ, GTX 1050, 512gb storage, 16gb ram -Aero 15 i7-7700 HQ, GTX 1060, 512gb storage, 16gb ram I normally play games such as Overwatch, Dishonoured, Skyrim (bootcamp) and stuff (medium to heavy on GPU) I like the design, keybaord and trackpad of the XPS 15 (coming from Mac) but the performance of the Aero 15 is undeniably tempting. Just wanted some opinion on both laptops (cooling, display...) Thank you
  7. How about the Asus ROG GL 502 with the 1060 upgrade? Or the MSI GS63 with the1060?
  8. I was thinking about buying a blade or an MSI gs63 stealth or an Asus GL 502... The pros of the blade are the size: 14 inch is perfect for me when I have been using a 13 inch for 4 years. The lighter weight and the design are really nice, also one selling point is the SSD instead of the HDD the other 2 have. It also has a nice trackpad, since I'm used to a macbook pro retina the trackpad kind of matters. But the Blade, at its base model, is already much more expensive than the top spec of with of the other 2. For your reference, I'm looking at these (prices are around 1400-1600 USD) GL 502/MSI GS63 GTX 1060 16GB ram 1TB HDD+512 / 256SSD Just want your opinions on these 2 machines or if you guys have any other suggestions because the razer Blade 14 is just too overpriced. PS: I really wanted the Razer Blade they were giving away, its got everything I wanted and more... does anyone know who won it?
  9. I would really love the new Razer blade with the GTX 1060... my birthday just passed so it would be an awesome gift Would be great if you threw in a razor with that my sideburns are getting out of control GL everyone!
