  1. Oh, I was just thinking in terms of cosmetic purposes lol. Sony offers some nice official ones but the possibilities of custom have me interested. Although when I designed a custom one, controller chaos quoted me $190 =\.
  2. Thank you so much, I've always preferred PS4 controllers over Xbox for whatever reason my hands get lost on an Xbox lol. Probably because I've never owned one, only a PS2. I rarely use a PS4 except at friends so that's the controller I'll get that way I can use it at home & there. By the way, are custom controllers worth it? I've seen a few sites that do it but I don't know if they're a scam or they offer something legit.
  3. Thanks, what are the custom settings you recomend? I'll wait until it price drops & also, which controller do you recommend? It'd be nice if a PS4 controller would be fine as then I could also use it at my friends house when I play there.
  4. Thank ya both, I'll probably buy it then soon. Not sure if I'll get a controller too or not, friends said I should otherwise driving with the keyboard will be terrible.
  5. Thanks! Just the possibility I could run mostly high is fine. In very few games have I ever noticed a difference between high & ultra. Especially on my panel, is your card OC'd?
  6. Before I drop the $30 & waste 2 days downloading it, I'd like to know how good or bad my system should run GTA 5. Specs are in my signature, hopefully someone else in this community has some at least close to mine that's played the game. I've tried finding videos of gameplay but most just run a 1060 6GB while mines a 3. Do y'all think I should easily be able to get a consistent 60 FPS in most places & if so on what graphical settings?
  7. Well I need some bass, I know using full range all around can work but I don't want any distortion.
  8. Okay thanks, I'll proceed with the idea to create an enclosure to separate the rear deck subs from the trunk. Finding subs that fit though are proving to be a challenge. The JL TWI which are designed for small spaces only come in a 10" at least & they're way more expensive than I can afford even in the long run anyway. Skar has some that fit but I don't know how well they'll perform in a small enclosure. I can not carry a sub box in my trunk or back seat though, I need to maintain all currently available seat & cargo space.
  9. I own a 1993 Geo Prizm that has 5.25" speakers in the front with 6.5"'s on the rear deck. Currently the front ones are stock while the rears are some used speakers my friends gave me. I'm already pretty sure I'll go with some JL's that're designed to work in small spaces for the front door panels due to the limited room. However those on the rear deck are in sort of a problem spot. Unless I go with some free air subs since there's no rear enclosure, the current speakers just hang above the trunk on the stock mounting system. I wont get the best sound out of anything else & free air subs are sort of expensive. Although I don't mind saving for that, what I'm wondering is this. Would it sound better if I had my friends help me make a small enclosure to hang below the rear deck speakers, separating them from the trunk space or to save time & effort just spend the money on some free air subs? If I went that route I'd just get JL's all around to work with the smaller spaces. I'm pretty dead set on maintaining a stock look for the interior of my car so simply sticking a decent Sub from Skar in a MDF box is out. I'd like to know all your opinions on my dilemma & goals. One reason why I'm kind of leaning towards simply making an enclosure to keep my rear deck speakers separate from the trunk is protection. I regularly throw long sharp objects in my trunk & drive like I'm in GTA 5. So I'd really not want something to damage any new speakers just hanging there with their backs exposed. *UPDATE: No longer will I consider using open air speakers, just searching for some good 6.5" subs which will work okay in a small, attached, rear deck enclosure friends & I create for $60 or less like these.
  10. I'm looking for a dual monitor VESA mounting system that can do both stacked & side by side orientation. I've never used either before so that's why I need both because I don't know which will work out best with my desk. I've measured my monitors already & in order for them to fit side by side, I'd need to shove my PC back in the corner at an angle but even then the arm might not clear my side panel. Stacked would solve this but then I may not be able to slide my keyboard under the screens. Currently I can't do this either because the single display I'm running is resting on top of one of those plastic tubs you soak your feet in so it'll sit at the right height. Which is a major nuisance when it comes time to eat & the paper plate must hang off the desk or be folded to fit. The back side of my desk is 5.5" thick due to the 2x4 brace so unless the clamp can accommodate that then screwing whatever mounting system to the top is necessary. My screens are 19.5" 1600x900 but I'd like to upgrade to dual 24" 1080p in the future.
  11. Thank you both, I saw some nice reviews on YouTube for the Jaybird X3's but then there was a different story on Amazon. Only 3.5 Stars, a fair amount of complaints from serious issues. I notice the X4's are more than the Tarah but I'm not sure why, their site doesn't have a compare feature. I'm finding that true wireless earphones are gonna have issues with the button/touch function so if there is a behind the neck cord or even neck band that's ok if it provides actual buttons for controlling them.
  12. If the title confuses you I'll explain, both my mother & I do a lot of yardwork. It's not uncommon for us to be crawling around under bushes & tree's as we cleanup our yard or even other peoples when I'm at work. Currently I use some Panasonic ErgoFit RP-TCM125-K's which are cheap so if I break em it's not a big deal. My mom on the other hand doesn't own any & she just got her first smartphone, a Moto e5 Play. Although I can do without an upgrade for a while now I would like to at least know what to help her order when the time comes soon. Wireless is a must, although I know some earphones are still wired together, I'm worried that although small, any cord might get caught on branches. She's not gonna be running so they don't need to be a sport pair although they do need to stay in fairly well. Also if they only get 4 hours of battery life that's fine as she's never using them for longer than that anyway. We're not audiofiles so as long as they sound as good as the Panasonic's I listed above that's fine. Aside from decent comfort too, budget wise they gotta be under $150. If nothing like that exists for that price point or cheaper leme know so I can change what I'm looking for.
  13. Never mind now it's working after I restarted the phone again >.<.
  14. Up until very recently I was able to use my Hyper X Cloud Stinger headset with my Samsung Galaxy S7. Since it's a single plug I could just unhook it from my PC & go straight into my phone for calls. Now though, no audio through the headsets mic will register on my phone at all, not even in the audio recorder app. I've tested the headset on my PC using the splitter cable & the headset's mic works fine. I've also successfully used the earbuds & mic that came with my phone & they work as well. I can still hear sound using the headset on my phone but no audio picks up. I don't think it's the 3.5mm jack otherwise the earbud headset's mic wouldn't work either. I've also started to encounter other issues using my Panasonic ErgoFit RP-TCM125-K earbuds & mic. Sporadically the mic will lose connection during a call & I have to replug it back in for my phone to recognize it. This never happened before & I've used that earbud headset for months. Is this something software related on Samsung's end & is there a way I can fix it?
  15. Well my provider is Verizon & yes the phone is locked I guess since I haven't rooted it. I've looked everywhere I can in settings & haven't found anything yet.
  16. From what I can tell, all my facebook messenger app settings for notifications are turned on for my galaxy s7. Yet it still refuses to let me know of new messages when I'm using 4g & not wifi. Is there a way I can force it & any other app I choose to give me notifications regardless of if I'm using wifi or 4g?
  17. I'm looking for a very small wireless security camera I can hide in my house. It doesn't need to be 1080p, honestly 480p would be fine or even 720 but it does need to have a wide viewing angle & good low light performance. I'd like to be able to monitor it from either my phone or desktop PC. I've already browsed Amazon but there's a ton of results so I'd like all your opinion on the brands that're out there if any of you have experience with this. Ideally I'd want something 1/2 inch in diameter or smaller. I'm not sure where I'd place it yet, maybe within some little 2-3 inch square decorative fake bird houses that're above our coat rack. As far as price goes, around $100 or less is preferred but if you know of a great product for $200 suggest it anyway.
  18. Although tempted in the past I never did, just now tried conversing with Cleaver Bot AI Chatbot. It was worse than having a conversation with a drunk & I mean someone totally wasted. The vast majority of things I said it ignored or went way off topic on other tangents about. At one point it even appeared like it was confusing me with someone else who was chatting with it. Accusing me of saying my name was Larson or something when the only previous thing I said were 2 of my friends names that don't even contain L's. So now I have to ask the odd question, is there a decent, real, safe, A.I Chatbot out there? By that I mean one that's far more advanced than Cleaver Bot & is real, not some underpaid Chinese or Indian kid a company is forcing to pretend they're A.I. Which I've heard some websites have done in the past & it IMO wouldn't be hard to still pull off. I'd like to not get infected either so yeah that's why the other stipulation. So yeah if any of you have suggestions on where I should try next leme know because I'm really bored.
  19. Within my Windows 10 Audio settings for my headset (Hyper X Cloud Stinger), the bass adjustments have me a little confused. Currently it's frequency is set to 80 Hz @ 6 db but what exactly does it mean if I change this? I know there's selections that range from 50 to 600 hz. Additionally the boost level can be tweaked from none to 24 db, but are these levels at said frequencies always active? If not & bass boost is only activated on the selected frequency, which should I have it set at to produce the most realistic yet bass filled sound? I know this is probably entirely a preference based thing but I make better decisions when I'm influenced by others with more experience than me. So please, fire away on whatever suggestions ya got.
  20. Okay I think I've figured it out but I'm wondering about something else now. I have my Acer V206HQL plugged in via DVI-D, while the HP S2031 is on a DVI-D to DisplayPort adapter cable. If I switched that around would there be anything to gain having that on my primary Acer display in gaming? I only ask because I think I remember reading somewhere that DP is faster than DVI-D.
  21. I just asked my friend & he said if I leave the HP on for a bit the grey part will go away. Although I still need to be able to change which monitor is 1 & 2 & set desktops up between the 2.
  22. I just unplugged it & went back to my single Acer V206HQL, everything looked okay though but I don't really know what I'm doing. Nope I didn't touch any of that, I just want to be able to setup desktop 1 on my center Acer monitor to be primary & the HP for secondary desktop.
  23. For now I'm gonna have to go back to just one because what I'm experiencing is completely unusable. This is my first time trying multiple monitors so I'm extremely confused as to why it's acting this way & why it wont let me change or toggle between multiple desktops with alt tab or whatever key it should be. The grey bar on the HP S2031 is really annoying as well but I don't think it's damage to the monitor itself. Since if I bring up a window it just looks more like a slight grey tint & not dead pixels. I'm using Nvidia Display Driver 416.34.
