  1. But I can also not spend $500-1000 more than I would with an msi or dell xps just so I can get the apple logo on my laptop.
  2. Going to college and need suggestions for laptops that I should purchase. I would like to keep it under $2000 so keep that in mind. I want a laptop with a 4k resolution and an i7, and I'm going to bring my desktop with me so the laptop doesn't need a 1080 or anything crazy. Need something where I can do school work and watch movies, but also play some games if I don't feel like sitting at a desk.
  3. For 250ohm headphones you are going to want to buy an amp, otherwise why would you buy them if you know they won't reach their full potential without an amp. I understand that onboard will power them, but the experience won't be as good as it could have been with an amp.
  4. Beyerdynamic DT990(really any good HEADPHONES will work) + antlion modmic > Any "gaming headset" Of course you will need an amp to power the DT990's if you were to buy the 250 ohm version. I would ask around about what people use for an amp, but Fii0 and schiit make really good products. Beyerdynamic DT990- https://www.amazon.com/Beyerdynamic-DT990-PRO-250ohm-Straight/dp/B010IJ9W1U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1487199546&sr=8-2&keywords=dt990 FiiO e10k- https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10K-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1487199503&sr=1-1&keywords=FiiO+e10k Schiit Magni 2- http://schiit.com/products/magni-2 Modmic 5- https://www.amazon.com/Antlion-Audio-Modular-Attachable-Microphone/dp/B01MCYRKY3/ref=sr_1_1?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1487199618&sr=1-1&keywords=modmic+5 A1 setup right there. Either of those amps will do for the DT990's, so its personal preference but I would go with the Schiit Magni 2.
  5. This is what I meant by my decision to get 250 ohm, just need to know what headphones would be the best option.
  6. I've had the Sennheiser HD598's for awhile now, and I really like them but I want to buy something that has a little more bass because the lows on the 598's are not as good as I would like them to be. I want to spend under $200, and I'm leaning towards Beyerdynamic right now, but I'm not sure if I should buy the dt 770, 880, or 990 pro (250 ohm b/c I have a dac/amp). I'm open to any suggestions, and I want headphones that are going to be comfortable for long listening sessions and to play games like CS:GO. Thanks for the help!
  7. I would sell my 970. Not going to pay $300 when I could sell it and only pay $100 for one/two cards that would perform better.
  8. Obviously I'm going to wait until more benchmarks are released.
