just an update to the hole thing i judt got a adaptor (just for a usb stick) and when i plug it in it says the device can not be charged while a usb otg device is plugged in.

ok well i guess i will have to buy the adaptor, all through it is a bit expensive

i know that would be the easiest thing to do but 1. im a bidt lazy 2. i thought it would be more fun to try and connect a hub so i might be able to connect something like a pair of small speakers that use usb as the power source. do you think this might work for me? http://www.instructables.com/id/Multi-Purpose-USB-Power-Adapter/?ALLSTEPS

Hello in a few weeks im going trip, which means many hours sitting in a car. now i have been thinking of this project for a while and now i have decited to try. (got the inspiration from the picture on the wiki page for usb on the go http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB_On-The-Go#/media/File:USB-OTG_Setup_IMG_2342.JPG ) basically i have an Htc one mini (the first model) that supports Usb on the go and it works with my 32 gb scandicsk otg device but due to the battery being very bad i can only watch movies for 45-50 minutes before running out of power. Now my question is can i connect a generic usb hub to the phone, and a powerbank to the hub so i can have access my data while still charging my phone. or will i break something? Thanks in advance
