Firstly, i'd like to say, I posted this in Troubleshooting, but a friend told me I might be better off here

Hi there,
I have a "Steelseries Zboard" keyboard. I bought it off a friend a while ago because I needed a better keyboard than what i already had.
It's an older version of the "Steelseries Shift". It has changeable keysets (look it up if you're unsure what I mean).
The Problem
Anyway, a while ago, the n key stopped working on the standard keyset. instead, it opens Calculator. Here's an old video I made to try and find a solution: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uLHs4jt4lwE
I worked around this issue by using the Wrath of the Lich King keyset, which mostly is a regular keyboard. However, a couple of days ago, the L-Shift, Right-Spacebar* and Backspace key all stopped working too, but only on THAT keyset.
*The spacebar is split into 2 keys so the keyset folds up. Both halves are spacebars
I put a ticket into Steelseries about it, and they have authorised and RMA. However, before wasting time and money on that (because it needs mailing to Denmark), I thought i'd do a little troubleshooting.

What I've tried
These issues only exist when the Z-Engine or Steelseries Engine software is running. If I quit the software, the keys work as expected, but I can't use any macros, and the media keys etc don't work.
I've therefore put this down to a software issue, which is why I think the RMA might not help.
I've done a full, clean reinstall of both softwares, seperately, with reboots in between. I emptied the AppData folder from Ideazon/Steelseries entries, and searched the registry for "Zboard", "Ideazon" and "Steelseries", and found nothing obvious.
I've also tried unplugging the keyboard and uninstalling (and deleting) the drivers and reinstalled. Nothing seems to fix this issue when the software is running.
And yes, I've checked the obvious - the keys aren't mapped wrongly in the software. They are on the default layouts, and inspecting each key shows it's intended function.

I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
I really am kinda stumped here. Does anyone know where the software might store any preferences that might be corrupted? Is there some kind of "driver" or "device cache" that maybe it uses?
Thanks in Advance,
William
