  1. i've just tried vessel with the free account and watched one video. - first of all the quality suxx compared to youtube - while watching cpu usage is significant higher than watching youtube (laptop gets hotter => fannoise louder) - the site is utterly slow in the current state vessel isn't useable for me and i would never ever pay for it!
  2. the i7 5820k would replace my old i7 870 witch would mean that i'll havent to worry about upgrading for the next few years
  3. hey linus, you mentioned the issue with the headband on hd8 dj in the wan show on 5. september 14. i also have the same problem that the hd8 dj get uncomfortable after some time of wearing. when you are in germany please ask sennheiser to adress the issue. i love the sound of these headphones and i wish, i could use them more often.
  4. I got an onther R9 290 PCS+ and for testing a stronger powersupply, but the driver still keeps crashing with that card. funfact: i can throw my old 5870 back in the pc and can use the driver i've installed with der R9 290 and erverything runs perfectly well... I think it has to be an issue with the graphics card motherboard combination or the amd driver is a big pile of poo. so i'll have to switch to the green team or i am stuck with my 5870
  5. Deleting MSI Afterburner didn't changed anything. For the moment i switched back to my old 5870 and everything works perferkly fine with the same driver version. i'll try to get an other PCS+ R9 290...
  6. changing drivers didn't help. i've tried 14.6, 14.4 and 13.11 i think, i'll return the card, because i don't know what else i could do now...
  7. i'll give that a try and report back if that fixes the issue for me
  8. i'm using the amd driver. i had just overclocked for maximum power draw. For gaming i used the stock settings. But still on the overclock and with Furmark the temps are ok: max Core 78°C, VRM 100°C
  9. hi, i bought a week ago, to upgrade from my Sapphire ATI 5870, the PowerColer R9 290 PCS+ and got now problems with it. If i am gaming (Assassins Creed Black Flag and Arma 3 atm), i get black screens after a random amount of time. Somtimes on startup of the game and sometimes after an hour or somewhere inbetween. After some seconds i can ALT+TAB out of it and and kill the game process in the taskmanager, that does say " does not respond". If i am lucky i can see at that moment a yellow triangle in the taskbar that says the driver crashed and will be restored. After this happened the VRAM Clock will be fixed to 150Mhz in any 3D application, the Core Clock however moves up to 1040Mhz. The System: Windows 7 Prof 64 bit MSI Afterburner v.3.0.0 Core I7 870 @ stock Asrock P55 Deluxe3 2x4GB DDR3 1600Mhz PowerColor R9 290 PCS+ @ stock Samsung 840 Pro 256GB Enermax Liberty 500W Powersupply things i've tried: - fresh install of Windows 7 - updating the Motherboard Bios to the newest verison (sadly from 1/20/2011) - switching PCI-E Power Cables - switching PCI-E Slot - tried latest whql and beta driver (14.4&14.6) - stressing the powersupply with max load ( 4 threads Prime95 and Furmark with Powertarget +30 and Core Clock up to 1080Mhz) got no instability there after 30 minutes. is there anything else i can do or do i have to returne the card and try an other? I would be happy to hear your opinnion
