  1. I hadn't actually considered a windows tablet or even a 2-in-1. I think I'll look into the Galaxy Book Pro first, thanks for the suggestions.
  2. Hi there, I've been really tempted to purchase a tablet recently. Primarily I'm looking to use it for media consumption, note taking/study and general portability. I currently have a powerful desktop that I do most of my work on and a decent little 13 inch laptop that I rarely use due to it being a tad cumbersome. I've been thinking about getting a 10+ inch tablet to take/organize my notes whilst studying online. I do currently have a Samsung A2 from a while back but the lack of finger print or facial unlocking and inability to use a decent pen for note taking combined with it's generally slow/clunky performance has relegated it to the drawer. I also have a kindle that I use primarily for books. I guess I'm trying to work out is a tablet worth it, as an android (Samsung) phone user I've been leaning towards Samsungs product line but then the new release of the iPads with M1 chips has been tempting. I have also heard leaks that the s7 line is potentially going to be updated to s8 sometime this year so maybe it's not a good time to purchase? any advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm not overly budget conscious and would be more focused on having a good performing product rather than bang for the buck but spending $1000 USD on a tablet just seems a tad excessive if the performance is meh compared to a similarly priced laptop.
  3. If you're going to go through the effort of digging a trench run 2 or 3 cables. It's a lot easier to install a couple of extras now and terminate them then it will be in the future if one of the cables went bad.
  4. Are you looking for an all in one headset (microphone included) or just wireless headphones? I personally use a pair of Sony WH-1000XM3 and wear glasses constantly. I honestly don't feel them putting any pressure on the frame. I've paired this with a modmic 4.0 wireless and must say it's a great experience not to be tethered. The Sony's are also great for traveling, noise cancelling on flights is a godsend.
  5. You could always look at cable sleeves or even using heat based shrink wrap if you don't mind a more semi-permanent solution. I loved the modmic audio but always hated that additional cable. If you aren't adverse to dropping a fair chunk of change they've bought out a wireless version that I've loved since the swap. My only gripe is micro USB charging not USB C and no integrated bluetooth option as you neeed the USB receiver. The sound quality is awesome and paired with a wireless set of headphones couldn't be happier. https://www.amazon.com/Alex-Tech-10ft-Protector-Sleeving/dp/B07FW3GTXB/ref=sxin_5_ac_d_pm?ac_md=1-0-VW5kZXIgJDIw-ac_d_pm&cv_ct_cx=cable+sleeve&dchild=1&keywords=cable+sleeve&pd_rd_i=B07FW3GTXB&pd_rd_r=2c6a9c8e-0088-4f2a-9864-44a60e65365b&pd_rd_w=endDY&pd_rd_wg=zm4UI&pf_rd_p=0e223c60-bcf8-4663-98f3-da892fbd4372&pf_rd_r=3M6P4SBWBYPXHSF2E5HR&psc=1&qid=1586956193&sr=1-1-22d05c05-1231-4126-b7c4-3e7a9c0027d0 https://www.amazon.com/Buy-Auto-Supply-BAS13803-Count/dp/B07DQ5YDF6/ref=sr_1_11?dchild=1&keywords=shrink+heat+tubing&qid=1586956235&s=electronics&sr=1-11
  6. Honestly really loving these adapting to the situation and hardware videos like "I FINALLY Upgraded My Streaming Setup!" I always enjoy content that showcases some lesser known or more useful tools, these can be understandably niche but I think utilizing the current climate to demonstrate cameras/microphones or general remote work products that make WFH easier would be really interesting and beneficial.
