  1. Don't worry about it. College IT Staff leave computers unprotected so that they can occasionally have something to do, and keep their jobs. But don't give them work, they will find you, and you will get expelled. If you are legit worried about security, I recommend BYOD.
  2. You're probably going to have a lot of issues with eBay repairs. I fix these kinda problems for a living (Electronics repair tech), and with liquid, I usually recommend going to apple or replacing the device. A lot of time liquid, especially things like coffee and soda, will cause problems with non-repaired parts later down the line. I don't think I would bother having apple repair it either since you can probably find a used replacement for around the same price or less than the repair. (They're going to swap out a new motherboard and maybe a new keyboard.) If you do go the route of 3rd party repair, understand that Apple won't touch the device anymore, and make sure that you check reviews on their service, and understand what the repair will actually entail, what will be replaced, and what kind of warranty you get.
  3. Yeah I think if you're gonna do overclocking your build is probably pretty solid then. You can always get a better monitor later on down the line too.
  4. https://nz.pcpartpicker.com/list/L6nD6X maybe if you want to save some cash. Personally, I'd rather have a bigger SSD over anything else, and most NVME is gonna be more than fast enough for gaming. Also if you aren't going to overclock you don't need to get a K CPU and can probably save some cash there too. I think a 1080 is probably fine for just about anything at 1440p, at least for the next few years.
  5. Now there's an idea.
  6. The CPU is covered by stuff.
  7. I'd probably go for the Ducky, I had a blackwidow, which it was alright, just didn't really care for the keycaps on it, and the stems on the keys would stick a lot. I got a Ducky Shine after I had that, and it was pretty great, I'd probably still have it if I hadn't switched over to a Pok3r. The other thing about the widow, and a lot of gaming keyboards is the bezel around the keys, but it's definitly personal preference on about 99% of the differences between keyboards. I'd recommend making a trip out to your local electronics shop and try a few different keyboards out.
  8. X-E1 and XC16-55 for personal use. I usually rent a 7D and 24-105 for more serious stuff.
  9. Probably like the Filco or CM or something like that. Pok3r's got 3 layers of layout editing so you can do some pretty crazy things with it (But I def get not wanting a 60% board) Maybe a Blackwidow if you want dedicated macro keys. Maybe a Ducky Shine 3 is something to consider. I also didn't realize you were looking for wireless. I think there are maybe 2 wireless mech keyboards, and they aren't that great.

Personally, I'd say if you want silent switches, get browns or blacks. Work means lots of typing, reds are too soft and not very good for typing in my experience. For work place I think black, basic look is probably the best. If you need macros, and you have a full size board you can always just reporogram some of the F keys to what ever you need in software. I put the pok3r in since you didn't specifiy if you need a full size board. If you go backlight I would say either RGB or white backlight. I don't get why you need a backlight for work though, I'd keep the backlight off.
  11. Cheepest canikon body, it doesn't matter what body, or specs, just find one for cheep. And an F1.8 prime. If you want to stress about some thing, then go to a camera shop and hold a few bodies and see what feels good to you. Having a camera that feels good and works well for you is a lot more important than mega pickles, or dynamic range. Lens is way more important for low light than camera usually. Since for 500 dollars you aren't going to get an A7R. Maybe pick up one of those amazon basics flashes for 30 bucks or so as well.
  12. PA322UHD for the dream. I've got a U2415 right now, and it is pretty nice. I'd like to get some kind of 32 inch 16:9, and have the U2415 in portrait. For recs, some thing big, IPS, fairly color accurate. Big is the most important thing though imo. More space is better.
  13. The sky is really nice, and the hills/mountains in the background are nice, the water is kind of busy though, the wake is a little bit too disbursed to really work for what you're going for, and the boat is a little too hard to pick out. A decent landscape, but probably not exactly what you were going for.
