Streamline got a reaction from Tech Inquisition in IN WIN 901 with i7-6700 and GTX1080 FE - Ultrawide gaming build
Became unhappy with having a big case, so I sold off my old PC and went for the IN WIN 901. Since I never overclocked my old i7-4770k I thought why not go for cheaper hardware and stick to the 6700. It still boosts to 4ghz, and the 65W TDP is actually pretty nice to have, especially considering the case I built in. The Atlas cooler was pretty much god sent. It's a dual tower cooler that's basically shrunk down but can still handle 200W of power. At first I wanted to go for the G1 gaming 1080, but ended up going for the founders edition and I'm pretty happy. For aesthetics it's pretty much the best I could get of course, but also for temperatures I think it's the best solution for me. The case doesn't allow for a lot of airflow, and with this setup I have the 120mm intake shovel air directly into the GPU, and the 92mm exhaust can take care of the CPU instead of also having to blow out the air of a hot graphics card. After adjusting the fan curve of the graphics card to my liking it also stays out of throttling range, while also staying pretty quiet.

Here are the temps after 20 minutes of Prime95 and Furmark at the same time:

    Here are the full specs:
Intel Core i7-6700 G.Skill 16GB DDR4-2133 MSI H170I Pro AC Alpenföhn Atlas CPU cooler Noctua NF-P12 intake be quiet! Silent Wings 2 92mm exhaust nVidia GTX 1080 Founders Edition be quiet! Straight Power 10 500W PSU ADATA Premier PRO SP900 256GB SSD Samsung 840 EVO 120GB SSD SanDisk 64GB SSD Overall the 901 was pretty great to build in. It was a bit of a challenge to decide on what parts to use but in the end decision making was pretty straight forward. I wasn't sure about the founders edition on the 1080 but in the end it's a pretty good card and I believe for my use case it's the best I could get. With the custom fan curve it doesn't throttle either and still stays quiet while idling and doesn't bother me at all while gaming even though it does ramp up a little.

Hm, so the shots were taken in front of a green screen and you added the background to it. To me it's more of a photoshop creation than a real photo. Even if you didn't take the shot of the soldier in the foreground, anyone could've created this image with a stock image of a soldier.

Feel free to disagree with me but to me this does not count as a photo but as a picture.

4/10, not much to say here but that the sun looks pretty cool. The rest is pretty horrible to be honest, just your regular mobile phone capture

Oh man, can't express how jealous I am of having such a location near your house. Nice shot, very dramatic contrasts and good colors, though I think that it's a bit too dark around the edges which makes it a bit hard to look at.

Well yea...it's lightning after all, can't tell it to go down a little more to the right so it fits perfectly into the frame. There was only one more that came down into where my camera was pointed, but unfortunately at that time, the camera was processing another exposure that had finished just before.

Boring subject, only interesting thing is the low depth of field which is not hard to achieve. On the photo you rated you said that you're not able to tell what's on the photo, same goes for this one. Nice colors on the (probably) shingles though. Also the background is bothering me a bit.

No, he has a cropped sensor, so the 35mm would give him pictures that look like they were taken with a 50mm on a full sensor.

Edit: Here's a few pictures taken with my 50mm lens on a D5100 (also with a cropped sensor)

But can it run minecra- oh yes it can. I'm kinda interested in the $400 one, that pricepoint is in the majority of peoples budgets.

I love the cars and the motion blur added to give a more realistic look. I give it a 10/10.

I like the owl!  Also nice tech but what caught my eye was the pic/drawing in the background, its pretty cool.  Who is the girl with the glasses?  I recognize some of the characters but not all...  And why is your computer case in bag? Technically, there is not too much to say about the photo but I do like elements of the shot.  Funky wall paper too  7/10.

Nice photo, good colors. Subject is a bit boring, but the background is nice and fitting so overall the picture 'feels' nice.

So here's my 'boring subject'. Missed the magic moment and learned an important lesson in photography: If you see a magic moment, chances are it's already too late to get a shot at capturing it. Saw an awesome sunset while driving home and 10 minutes later all that's left is this. At least it was a fun and simple shot to work with in post.

Damn, this thread has become a collection of snapshots with bad composition and people circlejerking, giving themselves 7-10 ratings, while the good photos receive 2 or 3.

What kind of competition? It's definitely a clean shot, but lacks uniqueness and is not very creative.

Nice picture, nice composition. I really like the clouds in front of the sun and the overall orangy look of the picture though I do find it a little dark and hard to look at. Could use a bit of exposure bumping if you took the shot in RAW and have access to photoshop or lightroom.

In all seriousness though, it's a good photo. Nice colors and the DoF is just right. Would have loved to see just a bit more of the table on it so you could've made the picture a little wider an not make the the sammich feel 'in your face'ish. But that's just my opinion, someone else might disagree. Just from a technical standpoint the photo is not lacking anything.
