You'll be fine, as long as the extension cord cable is of reasonable quality.

No, your pc won't heat more with longer extension cord.

The problem with cords is that the cable has some resistance and there's some power loss in the cable. So the more power what you plug in extension cord consumes, the more the extension cord cable will drop some voltage and heat up (so instead of 110v your pc will "see" 105v or something like that.

These days most power supplies can function with as little as 80v so not much to worry about... and your computer is not really that power hungry, even overclocked... it's just 3-500 watts or a few amps of current (depending if you're in 120v land or 230v) ... losses in the power cable will be around 5-10 watts at most, which can be easily dissipated across 25 meters of cable.

I finally fixed this issue. I re-installed  windows and enabled AHCI mode for the sata controller and this issue no longer exists

Speedfan. It's a pain to set up and you need to mess with Task Scheduler to get it to launch on startup, but I've got it controlling 4 sets of fans no problem, all of which turn off completely when certain components are below certain temperatures.

Steam should retain all your data on your HDD's. I think enabling AHCI mode after you have used the OS for a while screws it up. Ive got a very similar set up and my OS is poo. I think its because I turned AHCI mode on after I had installed lots of stuff.

But Steam on your HDD is fine, you will just have to link steam up to that directory when you re-install the OS...Might just have to run steam off the HDD again since its probably installed on your HDD??? I know my Steam is on my HDD so it by default puts games there without me having to think about it since some games like to install to C anyway.

This should not be a problem.
Only the OS drive will give the issues when switching to AHCI as windows wont understand it.
So your HDD should be fine after a fresh windows install.
Also, for other people stumbling on this topic by searching AHCI.
You can set the drive to AHCI without a OS re install:

I will make a tutorial about it on the forum later today.
But as your OS is messed up I wont recommend it in this case
