I recently built a mitx for my sister using a 4460 and an arctic cooling CPU block, it does really well.

not if your playing cpu intasive games, if you spend 100$ extra you could get a xeon, an i7 without overclocking and it would clean the floor with the pentium

What about the Cryorig R1 Ultimate? It performs as well & sometimes better than the NH-D15 and doesn't look ugly

I personally like the case, i bought it for my daughter and its just being air cooled with the stock fans and even with a Sapphire 7950 in it its stay well cooled.

upgrading the fan on a hyper 212 is like getting a civic and upgrading the wheels.
you might think it really helps but if it was bad you wouldn't of bought it in the first place, and if its good leave it alone.

Ive got the 212+ with the sickleflow fans and i cant hear it and im a silence freak, my gtx285 card at minimum (35%) is louder (dont go assuming that because its a 285 that its old and loud, it isnt, pretty sure nvidia still use the same blower fan).
depending on what cpu/board you have will change things too. ive got to use a resistor....you may not.

It doesnt matter what fan you put on there you will eventually be limited by the cooling stack, i dont think its worth $20 for an extra 2 degress (if that), you wont notice a noise difference.
its often found close in terms of noise/performance with all the best coolers upto about £80 (nh-d14 only just beats it, h70 is close, antec h620 and so on)

      2x NF-p14's only brought it down 3.25*c....
