  1. Does a dock for a windows laptop, pc, and Mac mini exist? I have one monitor and want to switch hdmi inputs easily. Also I would want to be able to use one mouse and keyboard and switch between the three. Reason for so many devices is work, gaming, and wife uses Apple for her side gig. thanks for the help!
  2. I'll be paying for 150 down. In your opinion can you skimp on a modem and get something cheap? I want to sink money into a good routine over modem
  3. Hey guys, I am going to be a new Comcast customer in a few weeks (no choice...only provider in the area). I have had some experience in the past with their crappy modem/router combos and want to also avoid paying their monthly leasing fee. Can anyone recommend a good modem and router? Is it better to get them separate or to get a combo unit myself? I'm willing to get separate if it's cheaper or better in general. Location: 2 bedroom apartment (1000 SQ feet) in a complex so likely a lot of other wifi signals running interference. I'll make sure to switch my router to a less congested channel but want something with good strength to not have any dead spots. What I do: game online, wife streams simultaneously (Netflix, youtube, etc), and have probably 5-6 connected devices at one time. Help?
  4. Damn thanks for the info and vid! Good to see someone testing it out and not having issues even after an overclock. Looks like with my older setup of 4670K and 1070 I definitely shouldn't have a problem. Thanks!
  5. Yeah I was considering using their 400W AC-DC converter, but saw the Dell 330W was around the same price or cheaper. Definitely not as clean as the brick, but from the sounds of it, I can probably get away with the 330W limit with my 4670K and 1070. Thanks!
  6. Ahh thanks for the info on the power supply chain.. I have a 4670K and a 1070, which is going to be cooled with either a 120mm or 92mm AIO. Looking at some of the other posts, it looks like I'll probably be fine with the 330W limit.
  7. Hey all, I am starting to build in my Dan A4 SFX v3 and am really intrigued by the HDPLEX 400W due to the restrictions of the A4. Only problem is I'm a complete newbie when it comes to these types of power supplies.. Does anyone know of a good external power brick that I can use to power the 400W HDPLEX? Their website says the Dell 330W works, but won't that only supply 330W to my computer and not the full 400W? Or does that not matter? Help? https://www.hdplex.com/hdplex-400w-hi-fi-dc-atx-power-supply-16v-24v-wide-range-voltage-input.html Thanks!
  8. Thanks! The HD plex sounds like a really good option for to get a 120mm AIO in there. Know of any external power bricks to support the 400W HD plex? I did some googling but you sound much more informed than I do.. https://www.hdplex.com/hdplex-400w-hi-fi-dc-atx-power-supply-16v-24v-wide-range-voltage-input.html I also think you convinced me to custom sleeve - I custom sleeve my cables already but wasn't sure if I wanted to go through the hassle. It seems like it will be worth it in the A4!
  9. Hey all, I am building in the Dan A4-SFX v3 (arriving in a few weeks!) and I really want to liquid cool my 1070. I thought about custom water cooling but the price was a bit too much after spending $220 on the case.. So I'm considering an AIO, and the the Asetek 545LC 92mm is the only AIO that is compatible with the case. To attach it to the graphics card (EVGA 1070) I am looking at the NZXT Kraken G12. Does the Asetek 545L 92mm attach to the NZXT Kraken G12? It isn't listed on the NZXT support page but am wondering if it will fit anyways. https://www.nzxt.com/products/kraken-g12-white https://store.asetek.com/products/asetek-545lc-92mm-performance-liquid-cpu-cooler Thanks!
  10. Hey guys, just bought a GoPro Hero 5 Black. I'm pretty excited to take it on my next trip, but there are a TON of SD cards on the market. Any suggestions for a SD card? Looking for the right balance between high capacity (for 4k), great read/write speeds for transferring to my PC, and not totally breaking the bank. Thanks and happy holidays!
  11. Wow great little projector for gaming and movie parties! GG LG!
  12. Thank you! Glad to hear you have solid performance from the modem. I see it has great amazon reviews too!
  13. ISPs are the absolute worst companies on earth..worse than cell phone companies imo
  14. Yeah I saw this in another post, it is a possibility..but I would rather get rid of Comcast trash and save some money by avoiding the rental fee
