SethAFitzgerald's Achievements

  1. Because Apple controls a very large portion of the smartphone market in the United States. With almost every smartphone using NFC, companies will be more likely to take advantage of NFC.
  2. The passbook logo has been changed, but that doesn't show too much. The leaker's explanation is what part of the payment system talk is about. The leaker says there is a video of the functional iPhone as well, but that is not yet available.
  3. Is there some strange competition going on where people are just trying to come up with more genders? Even if there are not just two, 71 seems absurd.
  4. Original Chinese leak and article both talk about mobile payments. Extra feature added to Passbook (as previously rumored) that lets people add their credit cards for mobile payments.
  5. This probably isn't going to change anytime soon unless Apple suddenly lets people manufacturer iOS phone (it is not going to.) It's not quite a market share stat that matters too much, as Android is clearly going to come out on top with its dozen or so manufacturers. Apple vs Samsung market share is the sort of thing that matters a bit more.
  6. Full Article - http://www.nextpowerup.com/news/12457/iphone-6-with-mobile-payment-support-leaked.html A detailed leak from a Chinese source shows a working iPhone 6 with a new payments solution. The leak confirms quite a few things such as the presence of NFC in the phone and the use of a raised camera.
  7. There's always Chattanooga, TN as well because of this: http://chattanoogagig.com/
  8. Ya, does seem that way. I think adjusting it to about $4k would end up being the best idea, as there is really nothing past that point that would makes sense for what I am doing.. I've thought about getting this if I don't use up much on the PC: http://www.mwelab.com/index.php/en/products/emperor-1510
  9. Definitely do not need the $6K for the writing, could probably get by with a two screens and a Mac Mini if I was just writing articles haha. The money is going towards gaming, and after reading all of the replies to this thread, I'm beginning to think $6K is silly for gaming and nothing more intensive....
  10. I'm about ready to move just so I can be in a FiOS service area.
  11. Haha thanks. Ya, Origin seems absurdly expensive for some of its stuff. I COULD build it myself but things like cable management are just not my strong suite, and having a messy $6,000 build just seems criminal.
  12. I get that I could probably find a way to include it, but I'm not trying to be stupid with the build. Like I originally said, I don't want to throw money away. The $6K figure is just based upon me sitting with a total of $10K for this project and deciding where that money should go. I can't imagine myself ever taking advantage of what the Titan Z has to offer.
  13. I know, it is strange, I half wonder how I got into this situation as well. I graduated from high school 1.5 years early, have been working as a journalist for quite a while, and now I am working full-time as a journalist for a few different places. In response to your Origin statement, I went through a configured a computer on their site, came out to $5,850 but the specs are lower than what I would get elsewhere if I spend that amount.
  14. Monitors are included in the non-PC budget part of my money. So, the $6K that I mentioned is just for the PC itself.
  15. Yes, I do plan on having 4K displays that will be used for gaming, but it is not a primary use for the system. I just don't want to be in a position where the PC is not capable of doing a certain thing because I decided against including a certain component.
