  1. I'll see if they hidding between motherboard and case itself, and if I can borrow a soldering with a fine tip somewhere. Very true, might as well try. Thanks for quick reply.
  2. Had this happen behind CPU (lga 2011) socket, dropped side panel while taking it off.. No words Haven't dared to turn PC on as I guess missing parts are related to power delivery/management and I'm afraid it could cause more harm than good. What are these missing parts? Transistors, capacitors or? And how critical are they? Haven't located missing parts inside or outside case, nor do I have tools to solder and I'd guess repair would cost more than a 'new' used motherboard.
  3. I'd give my mom a NUC, and make it a HTPC for her to use http://www.amazon.com/Intel-NUC-NUC5i5RYK-Core%C2%99-Processor/dp/B00SD9ISIQ/ref=sr_1_4?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1450112765&sr=1-4&keywords=nuc
  4. Tho I have never heard of Feenix before, I'm very tempted to 'upgrade' some of my peripherals with products from Feenix. I really like their design! The Aria headset looks stunning, stylish and elegant, something that I'd proudly wear! Looks comfy too. If I had to choose one of their products as my favorite, it'd be the Autore keyboard, it's so clean and sleek. And it got MX Browns too, damn I love these switches!
  5. Can't seem to find you, try and add me 'madebyWITT'
  6. Hi @Aprils_Renegade I'm interested, got no working mic atm, tho. But good thing there is an easy chat system on PC version of GTAV, yay. Have you considered Criminal Mastermind? Now you are looking for a team? ''Complete every heist (including setup missions) in order, with the same team members on hard difficulty with no deaths.'' EDIT: By the way, I'm rank 76, and have complete all heist mission multiple times, on difficult.
  7. They need to make their updates slow down their older i-devices to make their customers buy their latest and (not-so-)greatest i-devices. My sister is still rocking a iPhone 4S, and damn it's slow. She's an Apple fangirl, so kudos to her for not upgrading, yet! And for those arguing, whether you get less with an iPhone than with an Android phone, IMO you don't get less. But note that you don't get more just because you overpay. I'm on the Android-road, as I prefer to upgrade more often for less the money(just one out of many reasons). I currently have an OnePlus One and expecting it last a few years.
  8. For some reason(which I don't know) I haven't really thought of that. I'll keep it in my mind and think a little further about it.
  9. *shuts up* Well, it's visible from the door. And what are you exactly meaning by ''uncomfortable''? East, I think, hah. I have my PC monitor right about where the TV is in the sketch at the moment, and there is no light that bothers me. And yeah, the curtains would solved it, if it came to that. I've never watched TV from a ''boxed in'' TV, but I think I won't mind. Idk. Forgot to mention, sadly not really as there is a radiator there.
  10. Hi all, First a little introduction of my self. I'm 19 years old and studying at the moment. I'm living with my parents in their/our house, and planning to do so the next few years(as it's free(so far)). I've for a long time wished to 'rebuild' my room, and finally decided to move forward. And I'd appreciate some suggestions for improvement. At the moment I have a desk, a bed, a closet and a couple bookcases. I plan to buy a TV, yet to decide on size. The reason I don't have a TV at the moment is that I've never really needed one, as I've always watched movies and series on my computer with a headset on. This is my room, measured in meters. The feet are calculated from that, and I'm not 100% if they are correct. The layout/arrangement(what is the proper word?) I've been playing around with lately, is this. The TV/Bookcase I've been 'designing' in 3D. As said I'd appreciate some ideas and overall suggestions for improvement. - Witt
  11. The EDG750 PSU. An interresting design, which I'm in love with.
  12. Consider a OnePlus One, even cheaper, still more or less the same features of the phones you listed. (The LG G3 still beats the other in price, with the ~ same performance)
  13. Thanks again. I was looking for ASUS, DELL and HP earlier, their prices are a little higher, tho. I'll just stick to the ThinkPad S540, ThinkPads in general has some features I like.
  14. @rashdanml Thanks for answering for fast. Really appreciate it. But alternatives could also be other brands, just if you wasn't sure.
  15. Hello! I'm looking to buy a new laptop, I've found the Lenovo ThinkPad S540. And I need your thoughts. I'll use the laptop for primary study use, as I've a perfect desktop. So the laptop shouldn't/doesn't need to be able to game on. Questions: 1.: The ThinkPad S540 comes in a model with touchscreen aswell. Well, Windows 8.1 is optimized for touch, I haven't ever tried a touch screen on a laptop. I'm not really a tablet user either. Would I benefit of the touch, for a ~10% higher price? 2.: I can choosed between two models, first one has the Intel HD 4400 graphics, and the second one has Radeon 8670M(also the Pro version of Windows 8.1, for a more price of less than the Pro upgrade(which I consider upgrading to)). Will the laptop with the dedicated grpahics consume much more power(having less hours per charge) than the one with just Intel HD 4400? 3.: When buying direct from Lenovo, I can upgrade different stuff. It seems the laptop has a normally unused M.2 slot for an SSD, which I can upgrade from none to 16GB SSD. Would I be able to put a 120 or 240GB one in myself? (If not, it isn't a dealbreaker, as I'll just skip the HDD) 4.: Do you have an alternative to the ThinkPad S540? Budget is 5-6.000 DKK(which is ~650-750$(US Dollars) without all the danish taxes, maybe even less). Thanks! Witt EDIT: The ThinkPad come with an i5-4210U and 4GB of RAM(which I will be upgrading), just for those who need something to compare to.
  16. The feutures each has, also the Z-series are overclockable(with an overclockable CPU, of course), H-series are not. That's the main thing.
  17. You'll need a Z97 motherboard to overclock it There might be a way with Z87 in the future It looks really good, but only when overclocked tho (IMO). And the cooling shouldn't be hard to handle, I think Linus or Slick mentioned it in a video. I would buy it, if I was looking for a cheaper alternative. Some might say go with AMD, beacause of quad-core at the same price range. For current game titles, the processor would be great. Don't know for the future game titles, as it's only a dual core.
  18. I couldn't be sure, but i assumed as the mobo, cpu etc. was the same in the sig.
  19. You should(are) be able to choose your download destination? To another drive than C? Or you could also keep some free space on the SSD, so only OS and few primary programs, with enough headroom for uncompressing 30-40 gb files? Just to benefit from the SSD you already got?
  20. Use the old hdd for the other programs, because you got a SSD, then use it(Take advantage!!). Just for programs you use the most. My SSD is full to. But I got an old laptop drive for the rest and games. @B1G_WH1T3 As I wrote and you quoted: In his signature...
  21. He has a SSD, it's in his sig. A Samsung 840 EVO Also, I'll be here to follow, got the same problem, with a SSD too
  22. Sorry, didn't see where you were located. @Traytor But there also this one. 20$ tho, but free shipping.
  23. If OP uses his sata3 mSata ssd in the sata2 mSata port it'll only run at sata2 speeds, which would be sad. Imo. Original poster. I'd buy this instead, can't see if the one you linked will run at sata3 speed, but this one will.
  24. No, I've got that my self, but be sure to get one thats capable of sata3 tho. I think he wants to use one of his sata3 ports. So sata to mSata
  25. I've done things like that, mostly because I'm also an lego enthusiast. You should post some pictures
