  1. I haven't dealt with M.2s much. I was curious what the primary differences were in the two drives (Both in 1TB configurations). I was planning a new build and need it to be like lightning fast.
  2. So I saw your parts list, and it wasn't that bad tbh. I did change a few things. I swapped your 1600 for a 1600X (Only like $20-30 more for like +0.4GHz clock speed). I also swapped your OS because OEMs are meant for manufacturers making PCs to sell. AKA, they're not the best thing to use when building your own, but if you want to, it's fine. I'm not sure if the 1080 will bottleneck the 1600 or the 1600x, as I have no experience with any of these parts. Lastly, the monitor I listed is the same one that I use and it's very good for the price! It has a 75hz refresh rate, 1ms response time, and is 1080p, all for around $160-170 (Also has some good presets and blue light filters integrated into the menu). It has speakers as well... But they're not really that good. Part List Also --- I didn't know your budget
  3. I saw that and it didn't seem like it was legit But I'll add it. Swapping to a 1600X because it has 2 more cores and would run at the same frequency I was going to OC to anyways.
  4. Hello! For my new desktop that I'm going to build, I was going to put a custom loop in it. I used EKWB's custom loop config. and got an interesting result. The loop has 4 fans on a radiator that holds the length of 2. I've seen configurations that hold 2 fans on either side, but wouldn't that cause a space issue? Also what are the benefits of having "stacked fans"? Parts --- https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YTKxJV Config. (Loop) --- https://www.ekwb.com/custom-loop-configurator/shared/oW597569c6c797a
  5. I have a weird system... If I don't do something right the first time it kills me. I did consider recycling some parts into the new build so as I said,"This is not finalized". And along with swapping some parts, the main components I want to swap are the case, CPU cooler, GPU, and mobo. (Obviously, I'd recycle my storage though)
  6. Fair enough. I'm probably gonna sell my current PC (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hFM2Z8) and use that money towards this so if you'd wanna change anything about the build in specific please do so. I do heavily agree on having the one fast card over SLI as well.
  7. I'm considering SLI in the future as I'm hoping more titles will support it
  8. I'd have to agree... In order to have a whole PC and peripherals would cost somewhere in the ballpark of $600-800 if you also get a monitor. I understand that this video is a bit dated (Not really) but it should help you get a basis --->
  9. The only things that I'd use it for are installing Windows and my launchers... Did you not see the 2TB hard drive? Maybe some other stuff as well.
  10. Anybody have any thoughts on my next gaming build? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YwNTVY I've asked a few people including a small tech YouTuber, ALittleDIMM https://www.youtube.com/user/Xylopwns , and they all said it looks fine. I just kinda want some more feedback to be sure! P.S. - This in not finalized and is subject to change because of the AMD Ryzen and VEGA hardware incoming. Can't wait to see the benchmarks!!!
  11. Eh. I don't know. Btw just added a 120gb ssd for speed purposes https://pcpartpicker.com/list/cqjWzM just sayin
  12. But what if I wanted to upgrade to a 1080 next year? Saves some trouble.
  13. To everybody - is this somewhat better? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/vYx92R
  14. My problem with that is the video card and the processor. Since I'll probably be overclocking I switched to the i5-6600k and I think I like my current video card XD.
