Oops, I though motherboards had on board wifi

I started up my pc I had built recently today and discovered that the internet was not working. After checking my modem and hardware, I checked device manager and next to the driver 'Intel(R) Ethernet Connection (2) I219-V' there was an exclamation mark where there wasn't one before. I clicked on the driver and it had the following message 'The device cannot start. (Code 10). {Operation failed} The requested operation was unsuccessful'. This was not definitely not there before as I had checked the drivers previously. I'm new to building computers and I don't know what to do about this or if I can fix it, it was working just fine previously and now suddenly it isn't for no apparent reason. I'm running windows 10 and the motherboard is a Asus Z170-A, in case that's relevant. Please help. Also in windows 10 I have no option for wifi in network settings, which is weird, which is why I'm using ethernet.
