My speed varies from 500 to 650 Mbps on speedtest.net. https://www.speedtest.net/result/11223891968 I will try to check the speed from a live disk.

Hi, I recently upgraded to 1 Gbps internet and I was not able to achieve even 900 Mbps of download speed. Max I could go is 650 Mbps on a CAT8 cable. While I thought it was my ISP, it turned out to be that on the test engineer's newer machine (Core i7 9th generation) it reached 940 Mbps. I am running a Core i7- 4790K and while I can run most of the applications on this computer, this is the first time I am doubting it. Is my CPU too slow to achieve Gigabit internet speed? Thanks,

Core i7 4790K Temperature Problem
isaacramthal replied to isaacramthal's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
The thing is, I am not gaming at all here. This was just a Visual Studio installation. I will have to check my temperatures on games now.- 9 replies

Hi Guys, Today I observed a typical behavior which I did not notice before. I was installing Visual Studio 2015 when I suddenly decided to look at AI Suite 3. To my surprise my CPU was running at 83 Degrees Celsius. I think this is very strange since my computer normally idles at 38 to 41 degree Celsius. I have not overclocked anything and the CPU is running on the bundled cooler which came with the processor. What could be wrong?

quality Best quality nVidia GTX 1080 out there
isaacramthal replied to isaacramthal's topic in Graphics Cards
So ASUS is not the first preference when it comes to graphics cards? MSI is the better option? I have Corsair 900D cabinet. -
Hi, I have recently blown up by display card and I think that is mostly due to the humid atmosphere I have around here. All my old cards corroded and died eventually. For the same reason I bought ASUS TUF series (Z97 Mark 1) and the board is a beast. I am totally satisfied with it. While I might say the motherboard is good I have serious doubts about the quality of the graphics cards that ASUS manufactures. Although the old cards I purchased were like mid to lower enthusiast range, now I am trying to buy one of the top end cards. So here are the 2 questions which I have. Which is the best quality build card from the nVidia 1080 series? And how is the 'Founders Edition' in terms of build quality?
