  1. Hello everyone!I backed-up a HHD from a PC that was affected by recent storming. Performed a HDSentinel test on the HHD. HHD was checked as healthy. Decided to upgrade the HHD from a WD green 1TB to a Samsung 1TB to get the 7200RPM. Acronis informed me the back-up and restore was successful. Upon installing the HHD into the new computer I get the following:Loading DRMK V8.00 DRMK Version 8.00 COMMAND.COM Build 37 - Jul 28, 2008 DRMK KERNEL Build 15 - Aug 8, 2008 Copyright (c) 2006-2008 Dell Inc. All rights reserved. C:\> (Saying Bad command or filename when I typed something) Additional info: Gateway DX4831-01E image to a DELL OPTILPLEX 9010. Both have OEM Windows 7 pro product keys.
  2. Dick part, what do you mean. Completely new to this. Do you mean in disk management? diskmgmt.msc?
  3. So i have 3 formatted drives: 2 HHD, 1 SSD. None of these drives does the installer like. It promps to go to cutstom install, and all the partitions are not accepts. I reformatted the drive to ensure they are in NTFS... so lost
  4. it is detected now, rebooted again... now it provides me with a message " Windows can't be installed on drive 0 partition X" X meaning any of them.
  5. I have a pc with windows ten. SSD is formatted. I connected an optical drive with the CD with windows 10. Going though the options to reinstall windows, the SSD was not detected. I cannot install windows 10. Kinda wanted to get this pc up and running. SSD does have data and power connected. The SSD is : apotop ssd s3c 128gb Trouble finding drivers to try to progress further in deploying this PC.
  6. I had a random thought. The Cyberpower's Syber Vapor appears to have mostly full desktop components. So those whom oh so unfortunately that purchased these steam machines ever decide to re-transition or elect to simply replace with a full desktop. Maybe a simply DIY video. Honestly, I would love a video of someone taking a laptop that may have had a busted monitor which would be replace to be torn down and recreated into a mid-tower case. It is odd ideal, but just curious.
  7. Have ya'll done a video to explain the effects/differences in the different kinds of fluids that can be use for liquid cooling? It was a curious thought of mine if this varible even matter.
  8. Gotchya. I be mostly making a gaming rig for my first build. Apprecaite the advice
  9. See I understand there is a differnece in the chipsets for the motherboards. It then kinda goes into witch chipset is fitting the bill of being upgradeable and future proofing out a few years. The reason i primarily ask is the prize difference. the specs for the Z170A doesnt bother me at all. I plan to get the GTX 1060 to start off. I do not mind spending extra if it will provide me the longuiduty I hope for.
  10. For the "bang for the Buck" which motherboard type would be more benifical for a new builder and future profing enough to run 5-7 years before an absolute must upgrade.
  11. Currently have ibuypower generic keyboard.... but i do have the razer naga. just naga.
  12. Just curious on everyone elses opinion: 2x8gb or 4x4gb ram?
  13. So water-cooling is a yes. Overkill is kinda optional due to the wish to have a great looking rig that preforms. However, to the display questions- I would love 4k, though i notice pricing for a monitor is high. I would still love to have a nice 28-34" curve if it all possible with budget. With that said, one monitor is all I wish for. Low input lag and high refresh rate is screaming to me. I do want to get the most out of the games I will be playing.
  14. I totally understand the want over budget argument. I love to go up to 4k resolution, just aimed wants lower and budget high to judge from experience users whats available as i start my research and selection process. I will definitely look into orgin pc. Thanks
