  1. The Computer crashes in VR after a few mins of playing with black screen and the fans of the gpu at max .The PC is with freshly installed windows and everything needed. The specs are Asrock B450M Pro4 r.2.0 AMD Ryzen 5 5500 Asus Tuf RTX3080 MSI MAG 850 W 16 gb RAM Kingston FURY SSD TEAMGRPOUP 512 GB
  2. Hi everyone, A friend of mine is a school principal and he reach out to me for a advice .He needs 2 new computer studies classrooms for his school and the computer side is unclear for him and more precisely the hardware side. Now they use in both rooms a Fujitsu workstation with 10 core xeon (old one) an 32 gb ram and 4 TB storage on HDD’s hosting 10 VM’s and Windows server 2012.He told me the workstation is close to 10 years old.Programs pupils use are Scratch,Browser (i guess Chrome) ,MS Visual Studio/Code ,MS Office. And for the special studies they use :OpenShot,Audacity,Blender,Gimp and Inkscape . The school hasn’t decided which direction to take. They have a blank slate to work with…i mean this : Workstation/server with ups for every room runing vm’s like now or laptops for every kid or a PC *new networking too maybe (i need to ask him about it) They need something that can withstand the test of time and possibly can be upgraded down the road. Im asking for your help because that’s to much for me to handle alone because the Workstation/server side is terra incognita for me .I need suggestions on what they can use.He told me the sooner i can give him information about the hardware the better.
  3. Something out of the ordinary is happening. The mobo is Aorus z390 and the problem appears in boot. The splash screen with Aorus logo stays for 2 minutes and maybe more before actually booting (boot drive is nvme .Normally for 15 sec windows is up and running).I havo also Razer goliatus chroma it doesn't turn off its lighting when i turn off the pc.In order to turn of the mouse pad i need to unplug it.Tried to unplug everything from the pc to see which device makes this-no change.Out of 10 time it boot some what normally in 3 of them (still slow compared to the 15 sec) .Which usb ports are plugged in doesn't change the boot times it's still slow.It does seems to be related to software because this is outside windows .
  4. When i get home I'll upload pictures
  5. Well a cable is still a cable i don't think that RGB and ARGB cables are different on the inside.Insted of carrying 12 v it will carry 5 and insted of R and B it will carry Ground and Signal.
  6. My motherboard came with 2 RGB cable extenders .I need one longer ARGB cable to connect to the motherboard.I have a few cooler master sickle flow fans and they came with a little 3 pin "converter" to change female to male .My idea is to use the converter and convert the 4 pin RGB extender to 3 pin ARGB .My through is that a cable is a cable i shouldn't matter if it 4 pin because the second pin on the cable will be covered by the missing pin on the converter (3 pin) and therefore empty. Is it safe to use it that way ? ...I will upload pictures later to better understand my idea but now it's wayyy to late in the night and I'm at work tomorrow morning...
  7. My games dissapeared overnight from the Studio tab in Razer Synapse 3.The games were American Truck SImulator 2 /Euro Truck Sumulator 2 and Killing Floor 2.I got in touch with Razer and they offcourse follow the standart procedure of uninstall and reinstall and new profiles etc.but this did't working because i tried before i contact them.Installed a game for Razer Keyboards called "Wack a Mole for Chroma" it does't work either the only thing working is Chroma Visualizer.Im sure that the help center won't fix the issue.Everything is up to date games,Synapse 3,Windows 10 everything. Ideas ?
  8. where in the bios i can find this power limits? Or atleast their names.Tried today 4.8 it's stable under aida64 fpu and cpu stress but it needs alot of voltage 1.335 after sometime it started to crash when gaming and random bsods so i got it back to 4.6 . p.s Everything from this tab is No like yours but i don't have that much things
  9. Thing is that i watched der8auer's video on the topic another youtuber from my country tweaktown also has a video on the topic read and oc guide too and nothing works. It goes on 4,6GHz all cores why can't 4.8 GHz it's not that big of a step.
  10. What other than cpu ratio avx offset and voltage i need to change? I will do small steps 4.8 all core is good for me.
  11. I have z390 aorus pro,Noctua NH-U9S,brand new Corsair rm750x and of course i5 9600k .I followed a few videos and guides on how to OC-it but with no success not even once i got ot the OS.The bios version is f11 not the latest and will try to update in tomorrow if needed. So the videos are from 2019 and some stuff are in different places in the BIOS and the names of the things are different even that i spend 5 hours now maybe in reading and trying ...nothing works.I know the silicone lottery and that every chip differs from one another. But what i need to do in order to get it to lets say 4.8 GHz for now?
  12. Soon it is expected the official announcement of processors Intel Skylake, and with it we will see motherboards for Socket LGA1151 and leading chipset Intel Z170. It is quite logical to see the new generation of motherboards ASUS ROG Maximus, which will be composed of models ROG Maximus VIII Extreme, Maximus VIII Hero, Maximus VIII Gene and Maximus VIII Ranger. On top of course stands Maximus VIII Extreme, which will offer the best of which from ASUS are able to now. There will be 12 "phase" power to the CPU, high-end power components, a new color scheme and design of the cooler chipset and VRM, and several unknown at the time innovations. Hero model will be similar to Extreme, but with 10 "phase" supply and "only" three slot PCIe x16. Ranger model is looking a little more budget-oriented on the above-mentioned two top models, while Gene is the micro-ATX offspring family. In the next few days expect more information on the four new representative of the ASUS ROG Maximus.
