  1. Hey all! Hutch from Crit TV. Was browsing the forums when I remembered I had an account still! Anyways, hope to hang around and get more involved with LTT and its community. Cheers!
  2. In my opinion, I'd love to see the V3-572PG-56CY or the E5-771G-54N6 - there isn't nearly enough info out there about the low end Nvidia GPUs and their real world uses, while there is far too much coverage on the big "gaming focused" laptops and their beefy dedicated GPUs.
  3. The primary concern is security. They're going to have to strap these bad boys with cameras all around. People are going to try and take these down in order to steal what they're carrying. I know people are saying, "Well, people don't try and steal UPS trucks" but those have actual employees running them, and unlike the trucks - these 'copters could fit in the back of your trunk.
  4. I have a 750w Ultra PSU I got about 4 years ago, I think it's the only part that I've had since I first started building. Ha!
  5. I've upgraded from my previous machine, and went for something smaller. I go to a lot of LAN parties in my free time, so lugging around such a huge machine was quite annoying. And before you ask - this is not solely a gaming rig. I edit video and photo on the side, so having the memory and processor is extremely nice for what I do. Let me know what you think. Specs: i7-4770k OC'd at 4.2ghz 32GB of Kingston memory OC'd at 1800mhz Gigabyte Radeon HD 7950 Corsair H100i 90GB Kingston SSD 1TB WD Black 3TB WD Red Corsair 350D Lighting kit from bsmods.com (Only $30!) You can find a short little video of it here.
  6. I got the RAM after my initial build, and I actually have a i7-4770k coming in the mail.
  7. What you're experiencing is normal, your performance is just like what my friends are having... What I am experiencing I don't believe is normal. It simply won't use more than 2GB of RAM, and my CPU sits at 100% throughout my whole session.
  8. Hey crew! Of course as some of you fellow gamers may already know, Battlefield 4 is in open beta at the moment. When I'm playing it though, it's maxing out my CPU... What's going on here? Watching task manager, it's letting itself use 2GB of RAM, and cranking down on my i5. Some friends of mine say their machines uses MUCH more than 2GB in their builds, and definitely not as CPU intensive on their end. I'm running an Intel i5-2500k OC'd to 4.5Ghz, 32GB of Kingston RAM, AMD 7950. Software wise - I'm running on Windows 8.1 Pro Preview, build 9431. My version of Catalyst Control is 13.10 at the moment. Anything I can do? Any tips? Thanks! Edit: To clarify in further detail, my CPU sits at 100% the whole time BF4 is open, and only uses 2000-2100mb of RAM.
  9. I set my command rate to 1 and didn't do anything else and it refused to boot. lol I probably needed to mess with the voltages though, like Levent mentioned above.
  10. Hey everyone! I have been playing a lot of BF3 lately on my system, and I noticed while watching task manager that my CPU will hit 100% in intensive moments and drop my FPS. I'm currently overclocked to 4.5ghz on my Intel i5-2500k. When posting on my FB about this, a buddy of mine replied with this: Now I haven't messed with my timings at all yet, but can someone explain to me what CR1 and CR2 is as if I'm 5? Thanks! Hutch
  11. Can someone describe the naming convention on the label? I know in the post they mentioned that "DDR4 is here!" but on the label, it's described as DDR3L.
  12. I would suggest that you post this in Troubleshooting where you may get better assistance there. And like M-ursu said, pictures would be fantastic. We cannot know what's really going on until we get some solid clues and evidence.
  13. That's quite strange... Really strange. I'd almost look at what programs were running next time this happens, if I were you. This reminds me where ESEA was mining bitcoin on their customers personal machines without them knowing. So sketch.
