  1. If youre willing to give up word and excel along with SketchUp and tinkercad and those programs, Then i would highly reccomend the SAMSUNG Chromebook Plus Or the Samsung Chromebook Pro. I personally have the Samsung Chromebook plus and i love it. Its great for Media consumption and web browsing, especially for the price. The screen is very sharp with at 1440p, and the build quality is higher than you would expect at this price range. Highly Reccomend. If youre sticking to windows, I would reccomend the acer spin 7.
  2. For 4k gaming You might want a 1070ti or 1080 And you might also want to consider Ryzen for better video editing with something like a R7 1700
  3. Go with the cheaper one. They Perform Pretty Similarly
  4. Are you running 4k? If you are then you might want to consider 1080 for complete 60fps but if youre fine around 40-60 then i think youre good
  5. I'm like 85% sure that the connections aren't because I've seen the connections on a normal PSU. But, ill double check.
  6. Okay Checking that out. Thanks to both of you. If that doesn't work should I do anything else?
  7. I would definitely Recommend Python. It is easy to learn, but not basic. There is a lot you can do with it.
  8. Yeah. Linus has said that they usually fail right after warantee. Seems a lot like whats happening here
  9. I actually have reinstalled windows for a separate reason, the shutdowns happened before and after. The PSU is standard in the fact that the connectors are completely normal(I've built a pc before) But not standard by the fact that it came with the PC and is made by HP
  10. I have an HP pc that I upgraded with a GTX 1070. The warranty had just ended after I upgraded it. I've been having random shutdowns during games. When I click a certain menu or walk into a certain place My computer will completely shut down and restart. It has become more and more of an issue over the couple months since I upgraded. I'm pretty sure that the 500w Hp PSU just can't take a 1070 at full load, so the PSU overloads and shuts down. Before I upgraded to my 1070, I had No Issues with this, probably because I had a GPU that didn't even plug into the PSU. If needed, The PC the HP Envy Phoenix 810 The only thing I changed was the GPU. Full Specs Default HP mobo (haven't upgraded) i7 4770 CPU(haven't upgraded) Default Hp 8G RAM(haven't upgraded) Default Hp 500w PSU (Probably the problem)(haven't upgraded) GTX 1070 Gigabyte GPU(Used to be a GTX 745) Is this a PSU problem like I think? Could it be Something Else? If it is a PSU problem, would the shutdowns hurt my GPU? (If it is a PSU problem, I'm planning on scrapping the hp pc and just swapping my GPU into a brand new system I'm gonna build instead of buy from HP)
  11. I would be paying for the gpu, and somebody else would be paying for the hmd.
  12. I could afford either, im willing to spend anything less than 500$, but id rather save money if i will still get a solid vr expeirence
  13. Ive been debating wether i should spend the extra money and get the gtx 1070 for my vr gaming rig, or if i should save money and go with the gtx 1060. Im on a tight-ish budget so I want to insure my money is spent well.
