  1. The OC is very low given that the card often goes to 4ghz. I could just be unfortunate but I thought I'd ask if anybody had any ideas. My PSU is a trash can so I assumed it could be a reason.
  2. Not necessarily, I just don't know the cause of this specific problem. Sorry for asking.
  3. Just wanted to know what was safe atleast. Also I tried small increments last night and HWmonitor showed no change in voltage. Stayed at 1.0 (should be 1.2) I assumed it was just a fault of the software. Thankyou, anyways.
  4. How much voltage at a time?
  5. I believe so, would you advise upgrading anyway. I was looking at getting a better rated modular next year anyway.
  6. So, I've overclocked my 970ssc to about 3700mem and it's pretty fine for the most part. My only problem is that, occasionally, my PC will crash/freeze when tabbing out of games or when multi-player games end and the game will become unresponsive. I would usually associate a Psu issue with the PC crashing/reseting entirely, so I'm really not sure if it is a Psu issue, the only reason I believe it may be is because I have a crappy EVGA 80+ 600w white psu. Maybe it's just not meant to be.
  7. I'll have him being it to my house and hook up my PSU first, just to make sure thats the fault, then ye; don't think i'll ever buy refurbed again.
  8. Yeah i think i'm gonna overclock for him when we sort this out, and maybe add 8gb more ram in the future so i think 500W might be the route to go.
  9. Yeah thats another factor that confuses me, at first he could play them but it would restart randomly, now it just reboots almost every time he tries, havent checked event log as i've not been to his since. But by the sounds of it it loses power, makes sound asif being shut down.
  10. Thanks, i think its an EVGA, given those specs you dont think we need a 500w? (turns out its a Corsair 450 Watt VS450)
  11. Hi guys, I built a PC for my mate, all is well until he downloads battlegrounds, plays for 20 minutes then the computer restarts. No error, no freezing just restarts, to me this screams a PSU error but im not an expert. This is the build; Ryzen 3 1200 (Not OC(yet)) 1050ti 2x4GB ddr4 ram ASROCK AB350PRO4 MB 250gb ssd (i think?) 1080p 60fps monitor refurbished Corsair 450 Watt VS450 at first i thought it was RAM but it doesnt make sense for it to reboot so i assumed psu but didn't want to get him to go buy another and it end up not being the issue. Thanks for any suggestions guys.
  12. Ye that's a good point, that mobo is ddr4 so i'll get him a single 8gb ddr4. Again thanks alot for the input, i appreciate it.
  13. I have the same keyboard and have the lights turned off at all times but it's just a really good keyboard for the price given that it's mechanical. DDR3 is fine for the foreseeable future right? i have two 8gb sticks in mine and never have any issues. Thanks alot for your help.
  14. This is common when a company has to send out parts for no charge. Isn't really relevant but my Ikea wardrobe came with one door handle and the replacement took about this long to arrive. Im guessing its being shipped from the US in which case it's not bad a all, hope that helped.
