ShavedApe's Achievements

  1. Thats me too i guess although I wasnt really a child it was the game that probably got me taking gaming seriously.
  2. They are both completely different games, BFH has a terrible SP I gave up on it as you are forced to sit through long cut scenes with crappy story. FC4 good SP and I suppose relatively fun co op and it does have multi too. I have put quite a few hours into FC4 and really enjoyed it I even played a fair bit of multi to start with. Hardline of course has multi player which can be a lot of fun if you are playing with friends. Sure it doesn't have things like attack choppers, jets and tanks but some people including myself like that as it makes it more about infantry focused play than how good the other teams tanker/jet/chopper is. It is a lot closer to cod than any other battlefield because of this with a more battlefield feel. The biggest concern for me is that BF4 at peak times is almost twice the numbers players of BFH and of course Hardline only just released so it really shouldn't be that way. In fact to make matters worse BF3 numbers are only 3 or 4 k off hardlines peak numbers. To say Hardline is just a reskin of BF4 is silly a lot of work has gone into the game I'm just not sure its worth the current price tag. The game could of been so much more and we shouldn't have to wait for DLC for it to get there and the fact that its missing fixes that where desperately needed definitely doesn't help it any. More so when you consider the same fixes have recently been applied to BF4. Its almost as though they said "F*ck it that will do for now we can fix it later" Trouble is Danger Close clearly said something similar with Medal Of Honor and because of the numbers EA said "no you wont" and dropped support for it pretty much straight away sure it got a dlc but very few fixes. As to which you should buy for a good single player experience FC4 for sure it has multplayer too but its not really anything to write about although killing someone with a bow can be pretty satisfying to start with. For a purely multi player experience with i have to questionable life span based on current numbers go for hardline.
  3. If you like the battlefield experience then yes more content is coming too and fixes of course. If you prefer a closer to cod format as in virtually no vehicles but with more of a battlefield feel then go hardline. BF4 numbers look good even in what should be Hardline's time considering it only just released. Battlefied 4 currently on PC 22,216, Peak in last 24h 32,487, Hardline currently online 13,895, Peak in last 24h 20,272.
  4. I guess the obvious here is make sure you didnt accidentally block it in your firewall, so turn off firewall and see if it still gives you the issue. Failing that im sure there will be others that have faced the same issue that may have the fix either here or certainly on the steam forums.
  5. I pre ordered it I know my friends will be playing it and we will have lots of fun so more than worth the price.
  6. Rage was pretty bad not sure I would call it the worst but it was bad all the same. The worst games thankfully are the ones I forget quickly.
  7. Its a tough lesson to learn but a lesson learned all the same. I'm sorry you lost your stuff though I would hate to be in your shoes.
  8. I helped kickstart this one so yeah i would buy it and Im looking forward to it. I do hope they can raise the funds to finish it I guess they will inevitably end up down the early access route to finish the game I just hope they do finish it.
  9. People like angryjoe and totalbiscuit are well worth a watch but I think frankieonpc said it best if you are looking for a fill in fps game this is fine, its not really worth its price tag for what you get but that doesnt mean its not fun. I'm having fun with it I just don't love it and I sincerely doubt I ever will. Its kind of like the ugly chick in the room to start with you are not sure if you would but by the end of the night you probably will you might even stay with her for a while but it wont last.

  11. I think its good it got delayed if it isn't ready it should not be released this was normal practice in the past and it worked fine and everyone was happy to play a finished game when it did released. Why that changed I don't know because it certainly wasn't for the benefit of gamers
  12. The game has no longevity to it which is evident by how many active players there are now. As a concept it was fine a little flawed in execution but still not a bad game but it just doesn't have any longevity to it save your money. I was bored of it within a couple of hours of playing its more fun with friends but really even that gets old fast.
  13. I have seen an increase in this lately but as everyone else suggests I just ignore them.
  14. If you are going to use G2A which is good advice btw, stay away from community sellers most are perfectly legit but sady some are not and you dont want the game removed from your account a few days/weeks further down the line
  15. For me I guess I miss some of the guys I got to know at Clanbase during Medal Of Honor Allied Assault's hey day, I was back then head admin for Clanbase MOHAA I actually wrote the rules that matches where played by back then. I was still known as ShavedApe and was a part of a clan called KbN or Killers by Nature, the last website I built for the clan actually still exists at kickme.to/kbn I dont have access to it anymore but it amazes me its still there. Ive been a part of a couple of none gaming forums too but I always went by the nick shavedape so i guess if people are looking for me I shouldnt be that hard to find or at least easier because of it.
