  1. I am still working on finding a solution to the crashing that I have been getting on more GPU bound games. I spoke with an Nvidia Support guy who told me to update my UEFI BIOS and my motherboard chipset drivers. I have updated the BIOS but I haven't been able to find any tutorials on youtube for the chipset drivers. I believe that the main crashing issue is related to either Motherboard or RAM not so so much the new GPU. I ran the GPU in debug mode as an EVGA forum post said to and I still got crashes. I might be looking for some more DDR3 if the chipset driver update doesn't work.
  2. I don't really have another PSU besides I just tried it so I'll mark your solution as solved thanks
  3. Yeah, I was thinking that a few weeks ago the RTX 2060 requires a 600 watt PSU and I have a 620 Watt PSU right now. I used DDU to clean out the old drivers. I disabled Haste, Discord, and Chrome I still got the same restarting. I got quite a lot of help from an EU Overwatch support person. I'm going to do the BIOS update tonight. Thanks for the help I will update the thread if it bricks it or if it works out.
  4. Got it I thought so but I wanted to make sure. I am mainly trying to stop my computer from resetting when I start up GPU bound games like Overwatch and Subnautica. CPU bound games like StarCraft 2 and Rocket League seem to work fine and the nVidia support guy told me to update my BIOS. Thanks a ton
  5. So just the third one right the CAP file.
  6. A small chain of folders. The resource folder just has png files in it. This is where all of the folders go to.
  7. I am looking to Update my BIOS but I am unsure what file I need to run in order to not brick my motherboard. I attached a screenshot of the files I have extracted. I am currently running on paranoid juice so I would really appreciate some like MSpaint level arrows to make sure I don't brick my board. Thanks in advance
  8. I ended up slightly underclocking it and it mostly worked. I only did that after I used DDU and got the same crashing so it mostly works now. Thanks for the help though
  9. Yeah, I just used DDU and reinstalled the Drivers that way but after starting Overwatch it crashed again so I think I am going to try and downclock it as well. I'll see if that makes a difference. I guess I just have to wait for Nvidia to make decent drivers for this thing. What would you recommend for a downclock on the memory and the GPU?
  10. I just bought an RTX 2060 yesterday after my five-year-old GTX 760 kicked the bucket. I was very excited so I installed it, I updated the drivers, got all my monitors plugged in and the computer started no problem. Then this morning I was playing Overwatch like I usually do and my computer crashed and then restarted. Now every time I start up Overwatch the PC crashes. I tested some other games including Rocket League, StarCraft 2, Subnautica, Planetside 2, and of course Overwatch. The only games I had any instability with was Overwatch and Subnautica I even managed to get into Overwatch long enough to tun down the graphics settings and that made no difference. Current specs are i5 4670K, 8GB DDR3, Crucial 120GB SSD, WD Blue 1 TB, RTX 2060 EVGA XC Black.
  11. Right, I did figure that out but the place that I could do that doesn't appear. I click on the download button on the windows page it downloads I then click on the button at the bottom of the page and that very error message appears when I right click on the button nothing really happens.
  12. I reset my PC after encountering some performance issues related to Overwatch. Everything seemed to go fine at first except when I tried to play Planetside 2, it simply wouldn't launch even after I deleted it and redownloaded it the same goes for Rocket League which I used to test it out. I discovered through some quick googling that it could be a DirectX problem. I looked on the RL support website and after clicking on the link to the download site I get an error that looks like this. I am at a loss and at this point, I just want to play Rocket League out of spite for my PC. I would appreciate any advice.
  13. Through the research I did I found that the drive won't work in another console. I wish it would
  14. I think I will go through the effort of reflowing it seems worth it to me and if Linus taught me anything it's when all else fails YOLO it and at the very least I might learn something from it. thanks for the advice though. Personally, I think the reason it started acting up was that it spent years acting as a paperweight and then I suddenly started playing a long-form game as well as using it for exercise DVDs and it's around 10 years old at this point. Thanks for the advice though I will definitely upload the save to the cloud if it works.
