  1. Hi guys, I need a bluetooth mouse, mainly for use with my laptop. It should have a long battery life - not like the last wireless gaming mouse I owned (g700) which lasted a day. At least a wekk without charging is what im looking for. However so far most bluetooth mouse I've seen are limited to 1000 or 1600 DPI. This is a problem to me - I generally use a g502 with 4000 or 5600 dpi with the windows mouse speed adjustmentin the middle. So 1600 DPI feels painfully slow and is often not practical with limited desk space (mobile use). Only wireless mice I can find with high DPI are gaming focussed with USB dongles - I would like to avoid that. Also im unsure about their battery life. Ergonomically im looking for something similar in shape to the G502 which is very comfortable. Thanks in advance for you help!
  2. If you want to learn the basics start simple. No need for a big IDE with lots of features you wont use. Get any text editor with syntax highlighting (Notepad++ e.g. if you are on windows) and install the gnu compiler collection (gcc). Write your code, save it as .cpp and use the compiler via command line (g++) to compile the code. Thats it.
  3. Highly dependend on how many threads your workload (or game) can use. If few, go with a higher clockspeed CPU (i7 6700k) and OC it on air (or water if you really want. It wont really matter). If you need a lot of threads get a higher end CPU with 8 or more cores.
  4. Hey Guys, I just got a HD650 relatively cheap and I'm now looking for an headphone amp to get more out of them. So far I'm using them with my onboard audio - a realtek standard solution. So far it works quite well (although I maybe dont know what im missing out on). I also want a DAC for my Laptop which has terrible hiss in its audio. I listen to quite a variety of music and want to use the headphones for games and movies aswell. So my question: Is it even worth getting a external ?headphone ampilfier? Are there DACs with sorround simulation like dolby headphone and is that worth it and an improvement over standard headphone settings in games (shooter)? So far I considered the creative soudnblaster E5 (150 Eur) because I could also use it with my phone and the intergrated mic would be great for TS/Skype on my Desktop. However I'm not sure about the quality (and fear it would mostly record my audible keyboard) Are there better options? Mobile use is not a must, my phone is able to power the headphones enough. I dont really want to spent more than 150 Euro, unless its highly recommended.
  5. I'm looking for a smaller mechanical Keyboard with a tenkeyless or 70% layout. I also want something tactile (so far I've used mx reds), like blues or clears. I don't particularly like mx browns - they are either to light or the tactile bumb is not noticeable enough. I've also considered Topre but I dont really know what to think about it - it's supposed to be quieter but I fear that it resembles a membrane Keyboard with a "force bump" before the actuation point. However it might help with others trying to murder me because of mx Blue sounds. I thought about clears but I'm not sure about the higher actuation force - I often bottom out the reds so it might actually help. Can you recommend any boards with a smaller layout and switches like this ? I definitely want PgUP/Dn keys as well as arrow keys. I don't really need function keys or a numpad. For media controls I only care about volume, which is not a must though. Backlight is nice but not important either. I don't care about RGB. For Layout I would prefer UK Layout however ANSI is fine. I also don't really mind the different stems of topre keyboards but its hard to find one available in Germany with the layout I want.
  6. Qualcom quick charge which isnt just 5V at 3A but based on 9V. So form an ordinary USB port it will only accept up to 2.4A or something.
  7. If you want to use it for gaming new titles you can switch the laptop in 2 or 3 years. For work and study its not a problem but in that case you should get some business grade product, eg a thinkpad t460 or something like this. A lot more durable but you are limited to games you can play on an iGPU or an mx940. Or get a mid range inspiron multimedia lapotop. They are not that expensive, somewhat well built and enough for games (on mid settings) in the next 1 or 2 years. If you want modern titles and need a laptop for university get a light laptop and a desktop for gaming. Its way cheaper, easier to upgrade and gaming on 27 inch is a lot better than on 15 inch.
  8. Also a weight below 1.5kg and a size similar to a more compact 14 inch Laptop. And a Battery life of at least 8 hours. I don't care that it is impossible, its called no compromises.
  9. VMs of course. Look at the thinkpad lineup if you want a durable laptop. At campuspoint you can find them significantly cheaper for students.
  10. Have a 560ti. yep, thats absolutly not enough anymore, especially for 1440p. So im going to buy a RX480 anyways once the custom cards come out (this week pls..) but I've heard they scale somewhat
