  1. Disregard. Read some other posts on the forums and apparently this mobo has some issues with the way the pci slots sit. Reseated my 970 and everything is good
  2. I recently changed the motherboard and cpu in my computer (to a gigabyte 990fx ud-3 and an FX 8350) I did not reinstall windows after the hardware change which according to the internet was a bad idea. I have seen a huge performance hit to many games most notably gw2 which is heavily CPU bound. I used to run gw2 on almost max settings + GemFX with a solid 45+ fps. Now I don't even break 12 fps without overclocking. I believe there may be some driver conflicts between my old hardware and the new. My question is will sysprep fix any driver conflicts that may be causing the issue and is it safe? I've read that it works differently on windows 10 than in previous versions as it is not longer a cmd prompt command but an actual GUI program. Has anyone used sysprep on a windows 10 machine? Should I be worried about losing what I have or do I need to do a backup first? Are there any potential pitfalls to using sysprep I should be aware of? Thanks for your help!!

  4. Just buy studio speakers for less than half the price... M-Audio AV40's go for $150, albeit no bluetooth or fancy touch interface... but god.. just so much better
  5. I love how HTC puts more money into making a good phone like the m8 rather than marketing the phone like samsung
  6. Have you messed with your paging file?
  7. Pretty sure firefox does not have a 64-bit version. I've been using waterfox. http://www.waterfoxproject.org/download.php @Xsilent(X) is that summer glau? nice.
  8. Corsair Link has issues with 8.1 if that's the OS you are using. There is a workaround for it but you need to be comfortable using regedit
  9. All the more reason to have Linus do a video! =D
  10. Not sure if this goes here but didn't see a better spot before posting. Haven't seen anyone suggest this but I think having linus do a parody ASMR video would be super funny! Maybe have slick whisper the OC benchamarks? What do you guys think? Would this be entertaining if not necessarily informative? Here is a video of a serious ASMR unboxing if you haven't run across these yet. I seriously can't stop laughing at them.
  11. Hey guys, a few months back I updated to 8.1 and thought it was better than 8... at least until the glitches came. Most notably the bug people were experiencing where the person's computer would just freeze for a few minutes. It eventually got to the point that I just uninstalled and re-installed win8. So now I'm wondering if anyone who has 8.1 has seen this problem and others like it get patched. I would like to finally move back to 8.1. Thanks!
  12. There are some uncracked copies of the ISO on TPB. And it's not illegal to download a spare install CD. **EDIT** Alternatively this http://www.tomshardware.com/faq/id-1849920/download-iso-version-windows.html
  13. On both my computer and my brother's we've been noticing problems with chrome. Issues occure more frequently but are not limited to pages using flash. Lots of freezing, sometimes some noticiable resource hogging (more than normal), and as of just now my whole comp crashed when I hit play on a youtube video. This may be the wrong thread as I am not looking for a solution but wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Since both me and my brother got this at the same time and we live in seperate households I assume it was just a chrome update that needs to be fixed. I guess I'll be sticking with waterfox for awhile.
  14. This is what i use to record. M-Audio Fast Track ultra (I think this is discontinued, try this instead?) http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/MTrackQuad/ For monitors I use M-Audio av40's paired with their sb10 but if you want headphones http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HD280Pro/ or http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HD380Pro/ For Vocals I use: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/NT1AAnniv/ and for instruments: http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/Percep170/ You'll obviously want to expand your microphone collection as you go depending on what you want to record... cuz those wont handle a drum kit by themselves
  15. Best Bang-Buck in your price range http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HD280Pro/ Better, look a little nicer, but still within your price range http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/HD380Pro/
