  1. 3.5mm analog right into the soundcard.
  2. That was suggested in some other forums, so I wanted to give it a try. I don't have other headphones to test atm, but the DT880 works fine on my phone. So what exactly should I do?
  3. No, I am using headphones. Beyerdynamic DT880. Disableing the network card didn't do anything.
  4. So whenever I listen to music or play a game, I get these weird crackling noises a few times per minute. I allready did my research, reinstalled drivers, tried to deactivate my network card, but all without success. For some time the noise was gone, but since today it's back again. DPC Latency Checker sits at a steady 1ms. My soundcard is an Asus strix soar. I hate my younger me for buying that thing. Does anyone have an idea what I can try next?
  5. Hi, I'm looking forward to build a NAS that will handle mainly file storage/sharing and media streaming via Plex. I have decided to go with FreeNAS for the operating system and ZFS. What I am most unsure about is what CPU/moterboard combination to buy. The server should be able to handle at least one 1080p video stream and of course gigabit file transfer. It should definitely have low power consumption and cost not much more than 200€ (that is for board and CPU only, although less is appreciated). I don't necessarily need ECC support as the NAS won't be my only backup, however, it would be nice to have. The ASRock C2550D4I I found to be pretty interesting, but it's a little pricey and somewhat old. Do you guys have some good suggestions?
  6. Thanks a lot! That also explains why my new earbuds (which don't have a built in mic) blew my ears out the first time I plugged them in.
  7. Hello again, when using my earbuds, I set the volume to very low. When plugging in the speakers at my friends home, I set the volume to almost max. Somehow Android detects what device ist plugged in (although it is just a 3,5mm analog conection) and adjusts the volume atomatically. How's that possible? Does my phone measure the impedance and associate a specific impedance with a specific device and therefor a specific volume-level? Or is Android looking at my position and guessing what device I will most likely use at this location? Or is it something completely dfferent I overlooked?
  8. FYI it worked by changing the user agent string using an extension made by google. Thanks again for the answers and discussion.
  9. Thanks a lot! Fortunately I'm not from the US.^^ And you're right, I could have figured that myself.
  10. Wow, that are many quick replies.^^ I also thought about MAC adress, but that is very unlikely due to the reasons you named. Do you know whether there is a way do change the browser identification string?
  11. Hi guys, I'm trying to connect my windows notebook to a wifi network. The network itself is not password secured, but once connected to it, it leads you to a page where you have to log in with an ID and password (which I both have). This works fine on my phone, however when trying to do so with my notebook it says "This is not a smart device". Now I am wondering how the network recognizes whether a mobile device or some other computer is trying to connect to it. Thanks in advance Chris
  12. I would love to own the non-stealth Blade. Luke said the Stealth is for an artist, and I ain't no artist, I'm a gamer! (Sorry for double negation )
  13. Currently using some worn out roccat gear, I would love to do an upgrade^^
