    IEMs for gaming

@The Flying Sloththank you, but I cannot access those as I do not have Amazon here or the retailer itself... the only options for me, at the moment, is that list @rice guruI want IEMs because of the summer heat. The over-ear headphones are a bit too much for my ears as I heat pretty fast, even with the open-backed ones From where I posted in other forums, most of them recommend the FiiO FH3, which I think I'm going for.

    IEMs for gaming

Hello, As the summer heat waves hit pretty often now, I am starting to look for some IEMs that I could use mainly for gaming and some music (75% - 25%). The headphones that I use currently are the Sennheiser HD660s and Beyerdynamic Pro DT770 (250 ohms). In the past I had a pair of Audio-Technica AD700x, really liked their huge soundstage. What I am looking for is very good imaging and a decent soundstage. Unfortunately, my country does not have Amazon (yet), and I will not order from Drop as I am from Europe. The good news is that I have put together a pretty decent list of IEMs that I could get, but I will need your help: FiiO FD1 FiiO FH1s Fiio FH3 Meze Rai Solo FiiO FH5 iBasso IT01s Campfire IO FiiO FH5s The headphones will be paired to my AMP/DAC stack: Topping L30 + E30. Which one of the above do you think will fit my needs? I am looking forward to this discussion
  4. Ok, thank you both. One last question: Do you think the DT1770 would be a more than decent upgrade or not? As for open-back headphones, I have the HD660s and will go for an AKG K712 (for more soundstage.
  5. Hello, As the title says, I am considering upgrading my closed-back headphones, DT770 Pro (250 ohm), for gaming sessions . I will be using them for single-player and mild competitive FPS. What I am looking for is: Closed-back Very good imaging with a decent soundstage Fun signature, like a good bass response to feel the explosions and rumbles Max budget 500$ (I can add an extra 100$ only if it will be worth it) The AMP/DAC combo that I have is: Topping L30 + E30. I am from Europe from a country that does not have access to Amazon, yet. Plus, I will not go for Drop, because I have warranty concerns. Is there something that I can upgrade to or should I stay with the DT770?
  6. Thank you, thia really helps a lot. I will take the X2HR into consideration
  7. Thank you all for your input. Does anyone have the 2 models I wrote in my initial message? How do they compare to each other in terms of gaming?
  8. Hello, So, as the title says, I am looking for a pair of headphones that would offer the best immersive experience for single player games like: Red Dead Redemption 2, Witcher 3, Kingdom Come Deliverance, Dying Light, Skyrim etc. More precisely, I am looking for an open-back pair with a large soundstage and good / solid imaging. Gaming - music percentage: 70% - 30% The AMP/DAC combo that I own are Topping L30 + E30. The headphones that I owned so far and some thoughts on them: Sennheiser HD 660s - very good imaging, but the soundstage is disappointing Beyerdynamic DT770 PRO (250 ohms) - the imaging is good (i guess), soundstage is better than the 660s and very comfortable Audio-Technica ATH-AD700X - i listened so music with them, no gaming and had to sell them as my previous environment was noisy... what really blew me away was the soundstage, it was really wide; don't know much about imaging ... what i really hated about them was the weak clamp, "3D wing support", the really long non-detachable cable, bass was poor After some research, I found these 2 pairs that I think I would enjoy: Beyerdynamic DT1990 PRO - really love the design; I understood that the imaging is solid with a wide soundstage ... weak point: 512$ in my country AKG K721 PRO - I understood that the soundstage is very large, but the imaging could suffer; 272$ ... as a weak point: not really that reliable regarding the cable part Please let me know if you think I have other options or which from my 2 selected headphones would be better. My maximum budget would be 550$.
  9. This is getting a bit harder... The difference between the E30+L30 and A50s+D50s+P50 is 400$ for the second stack. Does the extra 400$ worth it for the long run? After some research regarding the balanced audio, I think I need to invest more money for a good balanced amp and dac which unfortunately I do not have... Plus I don't know if I would be able to hear the difference for that amount of cash.
  10. Hello, I recently got myself a Sennheiser HD660s that is driven by a FiiO E10K, but I can hear that the true potential of the headphones is not reached. Beside the HD660s, I have a pair of DT 770 Pro (250 ohm). I want to get something better and my budget is ~870$. After a lot of research, all I can get in my country (Romania) are: Topping E30 + L30 Topping A50s + D50s + P50 iFi Audio Zen Can + Zen Dac FiiO K5 Pro I will use the headphones only single ended, 6.5mm jack. Please let me know what of the above is a better option for future proofing or if I could have better options.
  11. Thanks a lot for your help! I went for the HD660s just because I could get them localy with 2 years warranty, in case something goes wrong, I don't need to send them outside my country. If something would've went wrong with the HD58x, the service would take way too long... And I hear that Drop support isn't quit the best. Plus I can send them back for a refund if I don't like them. Got the 660s for 370$. Regarding the AMP/DAC, for the moment I will stick with my FiiO E10k and if it won't suffice, I will get some research done for this side. For those wondering or for those who will read this in the future, after increasing my budget I was really fixated on the Beyerdynamic DT1990, but went for the 660s instead. The reason behind this decision was the fact that the DT1990 has a bit too much bass and is too detailed. This is the conclusion I got after listening to some sound demos between DT1990 and HD660s. Plus I already have the DT770 Pro for more than 3 years now. I want to experiment with other sound signatures as well.
  12. @rice guru@Tigerleon I saw a promotion for a Sennheiser HD 660s + iFi Audio ZEN CAN for ~528$ ... I know it's double my budget, but I can manage it if it's worth it. What do you think? Does it worth to go all the way for this combo? Another combo I found at Drop is HD 58x + O2 Amplifier for ~ 255$... How about this combo?
  13. Thank you for your responses, I will take them into consideration. If you have any other examples, please let me know.
  14. Hello, I would like some help / recommendations for open-back headphones that will be used primarily for gaming. My gaming focus is immersion with great soundstage. My games of choice are single players, like Red Dead Redemption 2, The Outer Worlds, Dying Light etc. Competitive gaming is on the second place (Warzone, CS:GO etc.). My budget is 250-280$. As an amp/dac combo, I have a Fiio E10K which run my current DT770 Pro (250 ohms) quit easily. Maybe I'll upgrade to an iFi Audio Zen Can of it's worth it. In the past I had ATH-AD700x, but had to sold them as I was in a loud environment, not the case anymore. I liked that pair, but I think it lacked some bass... But back then I didn't have the amp. After some researching I came to the discovered some potentiol "candidates": Beryerdynamic DT990 Pro Philips Fidelio X2 Audio-Technica AD900x Sennheiser HD560S Sennheiser HD600 Please let me know if you have other recommendations or if you could give a "+1" for any of the above heaphones.

Thank you everyone! I wanted to go with the BenQ monitor, but after some research I found out that it is not vesa mount compatible and has no height adjustment... So it was a deal breaker for me. I ordered the Alienware model
