  1. Im on some wierd 730 or something at the moment but would like to have this one so my friend can have my graphics card when I build him a PC
  2. Install all updates and what is your graphics card? It might just be if you don't have one the onboard graphics aren't good enough.
  3. 1. What's your graphics card if you have one. 2. Did you remember to install drivers and updates? I forgot these when I first built a pc
  4. Thanks for the info and sticking up for me aha I'm new for his community. Wasn't expecting people to dodge the question like a beeping shoe on a train (not entirely sure if that's not offensive). But yeah, thanks! Gonna try with an 8.1 disk I found lying around the house and upgrade with that. Then activate.
  5. Just noticed wtf is 8.1 with Bing? Does it just have Bing? 10/10 OS upgrade
  6. Okay, but the main question here is; Is there a way to downgrade my windows version without wiping my files etc
  7. well okay then - thanks for the correction. And I don't have a key for pro. I'd prefer to have it activated and everything, I only have a home premium 7 key that will work with 10 apparently
  8. Okay, so a while ago I borrowed a windows installation disk - it was an ultimate version - at the time I didn't have a key for it and have left it, the black desktop and not activated watermark never bothered me. I have a legit windows 7 home premium key from the bottom of an old laptop, I've been told that I can use this for windows 10 home premium while the upgrade is free. I can't upgrade to windows 10 version I need though because I'm on ultimate which upgrades to pro and gives no choice about this. Is there a way to downgrade from ultimate to home premium windows 7 without losing my files and without an installation disk/usb? Or am I going to have to get another hard drive to backup my files and do a clean install?
  9. I went for this mobo and processor because they were the cheapest/most cost-efficient available to me at the price range that I was going for without other trade-offs. I'm not particularly a beginner, I'm not a beginner at OCing - managed to get 16Hz extra out of a bad LG TV and everything :^) but for the build it was centered around cheapness. it just sucks that there aren't ANY upgrade options without replacing mobo as well/
  10. So I'll just have to get a new mobo and cpu whenever I can/want to upgrade? that sucks, looking into it it seems only like 3 processors are AM1 socket and then it was ditched by AMD. That really sucks and makes upgrading more effort and costly.
  11. I think I messed up when building my relatively cheap PC, I brought the ASUS AM1M-A or AM1I-A - not much difference and i don't remember what one it was but, I brought that with the AMD Athlon 5350 - mostly for that, but, now I'm looking into it, I can't upgrade my processor without upgrading my motherboard. Did I mess up? Any tips?
