The way that Minecraft (With >LOADS< of Mods (Similar to FTB-Packs)) handles RAM sometimes confuses me a lot....
Because like, when I'm exploring/wandering around in-game experiencing the odd lag-spike here and there every few seconds, I look in the console and then I look up the error online and it sort of means that My PC didn't respond to the server for [#] Seconds apparently. But, it says I have 3.3GB ish Available in Task Manager??
I have some Pinned Tabs open in Google Chrome but that's about it. Can't tell what's causing these lag-spikes every few seconds lol

it might be mod specific. some mods are bullcrap to run

Fun times doing testing
-
ooh i forgot to ask, how much ram you allocated to java
-
@Jtalk4456 I did try 4GB RAM and then I tried 6GB RAM and even 8GB RAM (a few times) via Twitch-Launcher but both amounts were still making Me experience the odd lag-spike here and there at random times. Aka, the game freezes for like a few seconds.
Keep in mind that it's FTB-Based Mods (A LOT of mods) so a lot of people recommend 4GB or above

if that doesn't work, then i'm not sure. You could try disabling a mod and seeing what happens, then just repeat until you find an offender or are more confused
-
what minimap do you use

Sigh.. Fun times figuring out issues and making other decisions lol
SpoilerJust spent an hour or two updating mods and trying to keep a decent FPS etc.. and I'm currently deciding if perhaps I should consider 32GB of RAM as crazy as that sounds . Only reason I say that is because I only have around 1GB free when wandering around in the MC-World whilst chunks are constantly updating etc..

With the price of RAM currently.., I'd rather not lol
But yeah I dunno if to get a second Corsair Vengeance 16GB (8x2GB) (3000MHz) or not hoping that it's compatible Hard decision atm
