  1. https://www.pcgamesn.com/intel/intel-kaby-lake-tim In the page you linked they got a 6700k running at 4.5 ghz at 89 C (tho they where either using a bad cooler or a bad chip) and a 7700k running at 5ghz ( unstable) at 90 C. Even if the thermals are shit it still beats it because of its higher stock speed. Also I quote "Intel have had TIM issues before (a beautifully absurd phrase...) which were fixed when they released the Haswell refresh Devil's Canyon chips. They used a different polymer in the Devil's Canyon TIM, which made them overclocking beasts, but it looks like Intel have gone back to the ropey old-school stuff for Skylake and now Kaby Lake." So it seems thats it also happens to skylake chips. I will get a 7600k by march so I guess I will see then.
  2. http://www.trustedreviews.com/intel-core-i7-7700k-review-performance-gaming-and-overclocking-page-2 4.9 ghz on h100i using asus ez tuning wizard runs at 76 C. I dont think the 6700k can reach that overclock
  3. I would still go for the kaby lake chip, a 6700k has a hard time on 4.7 ghz while the 7700k can get an "easy" 4.8 ghz
  4. Didnt know about that heat spreader thing.
  5. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Intel-Core-i7-Inside-Sticker-15-5-x-21mm-2013-Version-Haswell-Case-Badge-/261737954283?hash=item3cf0cc3beb:g:8AIAAOSwrklU2klE Got you covered pal.
  6. No one will notice, make sure to get the sticker.
  7. Microcenter has some cool deals, I would keep my head up for those.
  8. I can only imagine your face of dissapointment
  9. the 7600k is still an i5 tho
  10. also, if you feel like driving, its $220 on microcenter. Thats IMO a no brainer.
  11. the 7500 is still a great cpu tho.
  12. $40 dollar for 0,4 ghz more and the ability to get an easy 4,6 OC
  13. If you have the money go for the 7600k, you will be able to overclock it down the line and keep it from getting old.
  14. 7500k? Pretty sure that does not exist.
  15. Did you have any issues? Also how did you connect the fans to powersupply or mobo? If you connected it to your mobo where you able to change the rpm? Just figured out they are both 3 pin that go to one molex. Thanks.
