I'm connected by ethernet, using the google speed test plugin & ookla speed test i'm getting 50mbps(down) & 15mbps(up). So no, im not getting my advertised speeds, especially with my downloads.

Alright, so; I've posted a question related to this subject in the past, (I have the Gigabyte A520i-AC which has a 2.5gbps LAN port) but I'd like to know if I'm able to take full advantage of my 100/20 connection using a 2.5gbps router. I ask this because I get roughly 6.4mbps max download speed through steam and whatnot by using my (gigabit) OEM provided router: the Netcomm NF18Mesh. Would I be able to pair a 2.5gbps switch with the OEM router? Or would I have to purchase a 2.5gbps capable router. I'm open to suggestions.

So i've just setup a new PC and as the topic title says; I'm getting 1G ethernet and not 2.5G. The motherboard I have is the Gigabyte A520I-AC. I installed the ethernet drivers and updated Windows 10 and i'm still not getting 2.5gig speed(s), it says im running at 1gig. The motherboard has the Realtek Gaming GbE Family Controller if that helps. Any idea how I could solve this? Is there a BIOS setting I have to tick?

If you upgraded it to the max 8gigs of RAM, used an Athlon 64 X2 6000+, and maybe a video card from that era, I THINK it would be adequate for schoolwork. However, I definitely wouldn't get my hopes up about the gaming side of things.

Unless you really need the wifi card, I'd say this is a solid build for the time being.

Guys I'm at a bit of a toss up, I can't decide between an RX 6700XT or a RTX 3060ti. I game at 1080p. AND I'm only interested is raw gaming performance. Im parting out a system so I can upgrade from a laptop kitted with an RTX 2060. Any equivalent cards are acceptable.

I just need to absolutely make sure, because I don't wanna spend $500 on a processor then end up having it not work.

Silly question I know, but will the Gigabyte A520I-AC AM4 Mini-ITX Motherboard be compatible out-of-the-box with the Ryzen 7 3700x ? Or does it need a BIOS update first. Weird question I know, but I have a laptop with a Ryzen 7 4800H in it and I was wondering if there was a Ryzen desktop equivalent of it. I'm planning a future build and I'd love to know. Thank you.
