  2. Favourite part about the Z2: Beautiful 5.2 inches IPS LCD HD display Favourite thing about dbrand: They sponsored the video for the giveaway to happen!
  3. The close to vanilla Android experience with ton of customisation options available from the software, such as rearranging the software keys at the bottom of the screen and adjusting the size of the on screen keyboard.
  4. My current main video editing and gaming rig can be seen in my signature. Not fantastic, but not too bad either. Will probably upgrade the graphics card soon.
  5. Many years ago, I was curious about the components inside my Windows 98 PC, so I took it apart. I remember the PC didn't work in the end because something wrong I did fried the processor. That didn't stop me in finding out more as I tried and error with hardware. As the internet evolved, and YouTube started, I came across one of Linus' unboxings and here I am!
  6. Thanks for the suggestion, but if I were to go with the Maximus IV, I wouldn't have much budget left for other parts. I managed to find RimBlock on VRForums, but I didn't see a thread about the sale of ASRock board you've mentioned.
  7. Thanks for all the case suggestions so far. EDIT: The Fractal Design Node 304 costs around S$130, and the BITFENIX Prodigy costs about S$140 to S$150 here. Thanks for the suggestion, but that would mean I will be restricted by the internet upload and download speeds. Our files can go rather big and it may take long.
  8. If you are doing a lot of video, I would recommend getting a mirrorless camera or DSLR with a tilt screen. You will not understand how useful it is till you use it and saves you in situation where shots are difficult to get. By "mid-late next year" there may be newer models on sale, so just keep yourself updated on the latest trends.
  9. I am currently into photography and videography with a few close friends. We are currently considering options to store our pictures and videos, which may be large in file size. More often or not we will be using the build for transfering our work into the system (archiving) and to access our files remotely (off-site). We have listed external drives, NAS and a server build. Personally I am leaning towards a server build in a long run. However, we are tight in budget, as such, second hand parts will be ideal. I was looking into articles suggesting running a M-ITX motherboard and what not for power savings, but it may not be a must for us. The Operating System is not of a concern as I have a copy of Windows or may be going for Freenas. The case and motherboard should ideally support at least 6 hard drives (don't really like the idea of having a controller card to manage the drives unless justifiable). If possible, we are thinking of running with 5 to 6 WD Reds, probably in Raid, in the future. Thanks in advance for all advice.
  10. I am currently building a desktop from parts from an old PC (tight on budget) to run as a 24/7 server. It has an E8400 with 6GB of DDR2 RAM. I am using a Crucial RealSSD C300 64GB as a boot drive as I got it second hand and cheap online. The SSD offers great speed with the system running Windows 8. All these are enclosed in an Antec Three Hundred case. I am looking to expand my storage by including several WD Red drives to store all my pictures and videos.
