  1. I recently switched from at&t to a local cable company for better internet speeds. My speed is good, im using ethernet, and I have low ping/latency, but I randomly rubber band in games. It seems to be more frequent from around 4 to 10 pm, sometimes earlier/later, so I think it might be the provider, but im not sure. I wasnt getting the rubber banding on at&t. If it matters my computer is running win 10 64bit, I have 16gb ram, i7 6700k, and a 1070. Thanks Speed Test: https://gyazo.com/47876caab3f330a0279d63ccd91dd192
  2. So today i went to plug in my controller into my pc, which ive done many times before, and plugged the hub into my motherboard, a usb cable from the hub, and cable to the controller. I dont know if this was the exact cause of the crash, but when i looked at my screen i got blue screened. so I proceeded to do everything i could possibly do to fix the problem. I did 4 cmd commands, tried safe mode (which blue screens immediately), un plugged all my devices, tried a different graphics card, tried my hard drive in another pc (which worked fine for some reason), i even tried to reset my pc but i couldnt because i didnt have enough space on the drive with windows. Im lost, completely lost. Any ideas? I dont think its cpu or ram, i mean this happened today and ive been using this exact computer for 5+ months now with no issues. I also tried removing specific drives, and that didnt work either. I think it might be the motherboard or a program or something, but the cmd commands i used that were supposed to check for stuff found nothing and didnt work. Thanks in advance Update: reset windows, worked for 5 minutes then crashed. reseated cpu. no luck. tried individual ram, no luck. the only thing left is the motherboard..? idk well now everything broken, every time i try to get to boot menu or restart computer i just get your pc/device needs to be repaired error 0xc0000225 and I cant get to anything but recovery mode where nothing works for me and I cant even reset windows again, i just get an error. Im thinking at this point of just buying a new ssd and windows and starting from scratch. ive tried basically this whole guide http://windowsreport.com/windows-10-automatic-repair-couldnt-repair-pc/
  3. I was looking to buy computer speakers for my setup, any recommendations? I listen to all music types but primarily edm/house. Thanks
  4. Im looking for a monitor arm, preferably a desk mountable one. I want to be able to move the monitor towards and away from me as well as left and right if possible. I was looking at the ergotech freedom arm but I dont know which arm to get. Thanks

    Asus ROG Swift qc?

any monitor recommendations that arent complete shit?
  6. Does Asus still have major qc control problems? Im interested in buying one but very skeptical due to all its negative reviews. According to Asus customer loyalty on July 18th on newegg, "Every NEW PG279Q sold in North America must now pass a visual inspection in a darkened environment before it’s shipped to a vendor. This will help with the back light bleed issues." But it doesnt seem very convincing considering that was said on a negative review of the monitor...
  7. I currently have a 60hz ips 1080p monitor and I was looking to upgrade because I recently tried a 144hz monitor and I liked it a lot for the games I play (rocket league and csgo). I get around 225 frames in rocket league at 1080p and 300 or so in csgo but I was wondering if it is worth getting 1440p instead of 1080p when I purchase my next monitor. How much would the performance decrease be in frames in rocket league? I dont run max settings because I dont like them that much but would I still be getting around 100+ with 1440p? I am going to upgrade to a 1070 strix OC in a couple months, but would it be worth the 144hz 1440p over 1080p? Also, if I got a 1440p monitor, would it be worth investing in a g-sync monitor so if I am not getting 144hz out of my 970 with 1440p it will look smoother? Thanks
  8. I currently have some awful staples chair and an asus mx 23 inch ips 60hz monitor 1080p. I have a 970 strix OC and an i7 6700k, and for the games I play (basically rocket league and csgo sometimes which I get 200+ frames easily), its more than enough. I am upgrading to a 1070 around December though so keep that in mind. I do like ips, but I am currently leaning towards a Dell Gaming S2716DG 27 for the 144hz and gsync but I could get something like a rog swift monitor as well (im skeptical because of the awful QC though). On the other hand, I could get something like a 34 inch curve monitor or something like that, or two ips 60hz monitors or two 144hz tn panels, lots of options. My only issue with 1440p is that I want to make sure that when I am watching youtube, twitch, and anime that I dont have black bars on the side of the monitor, but I think they are all 16:9 except for the 34 inch monitors so I dont believe that will be a problem. Also, how blurry will 4k and 1440p look when watching something at 720/1080p? Thanks Regarding the chair, I want something comfortable for prolonged use (5-8 hours when gaming/working) but I dont know what direction to go. I could get something like a dxracer/vertagear or a mesh chair. Room temperature is around 75 F (24C) so its not super warm but when playing games my room can go up in temperature quite a bit to around 78F (25-26C). I dont want anything too flashy, either solid black or black and white. Im 5'11 but I will be around 6 feet, and I want something without the weird curved edges on the seat, so something like the dxracer racing series. Im a wide person, not fat but broad shoulders (165 pounds). Thanks The monitor(s) and chair need to be less than 1k together.

  10. so will things at 720p or 1080p look better on 1440p? and HOW bad will they look? like blurry
  11. also will videos look blurry on a 1440p monitor? Like if im watching a youtube video and its 1080p or 720p quality will it be really blurry?
  12. how are the colors on a tn panel? Also is g sync enabled or do you need to enable it? Sorry I dont have alot of experience with monitors. and does g sync make a huge difference?
