  2. Firstly I thought "Who needs this bada$$ projector?!" and then I was "I want it! It would be so cool to watch Star Wars with my friends on freakin' 150'' screen!" #LoveStarWars Overall, it's amazing how close you can be up to the wall and project your screen on to it. Technology these days is just amazing... I hope LG will sell quite a few of them.
  3. On our "eBay" that's a fair, good price for the CPU. Even though I could get one on eBay for less or better CPU for the same amount of money, I wanted to be sure and buy from local guy I know personally. Thanks for the information/advice about buying components from eBay! I'm planning to upgrade my CPU fan. Intel stock cooler is not enough if I'm planning to play games through summer. I was thinking to buy something like Cooler Master TX3i or Arctic Cooling Freezer 13. My motherboard does not support overclocking, so some beast-mode cooling option isn't necessary for me. Maybe if I get a good deal on some better CPU+MBO (like i7 2600 or newer with motherboard with or without overclockability).
  4. I actually live in Croatia (Europe) and I have to admit 70$ for Q9550 it's a pretty good deal. I could buy the same CPU for cheap on eBay, but I don't have the balls to do it. I would never say there's a bottleneck with 860K and GTX950. 950 doesn't seem to me to be that much powerful GPU to create a bottleneck. Interesting... I'm usually playing Guild Wars 2 and I have from 30-60fps which is more than enough for me(depends where I am in the game, city or somewhere else). But, if your statement about bottleneck between CPU and GPU are true (for 860K and 950) than I have to agree that I have a bottleneck too with Q9550 and 7950.
  5. Why do you think so? I think it's a mid range CPU and there's no bottleneck in my opinion. 7950 is in a range of R9 280, if I overclock 7950 I can get results pretty close to 280X. I don't play games very often, maybe 2 hours per week. I've bought Q9550 for 70$(U.S.) because I wanted to save so money with not buying a new MBO and CPU, so I think Q9550 (in benchmark performance somewhere near AMD 860K/Intel Core i5 760) it's a decent CPU for that socket.
  6. Hello forum! I've just seen a video from Luke with custom made test bench. A long time ago I had AMD Sempron with ATI XT1800 or something like that with 2GB of RAM in an older case with no extra fans or whatsoever... I recently updated my components (bought from friends to save money) to Core 2 Quad Q9550, 4GB RAM and HD7950 Boost from Sapphire. CPU produces a lot of heat since I still use stock cooler from Intel. I wanted to get rid of the heat in the case, firstly I removed only the top side of case and I realized that I can not put things on top of it (I usually put my phone on my case), but I wasn't satisfied with that, so secondly I removed side panels. The problem with that was I used to move my legs a lot so here and there I had hit my components . Now, I don't have a case (teared it apart after some removes) and I have to admit, it feels good! I weekly clean my CPU and GPU from the dust so I don't have problem with that and the heat goes up in the air directly... I would like to have a test bench, but I think I'll put my PC under the desk, put some fans on each side to keep the fresh air in there... I think it's okay if I share my PC with all of you. Components are just laying on the table, nothing special. If you have some recommendations for me, tell me! Every friend that came to my place was surprised with my "I don't give a *uck PC". P.S. Sorry for the dust on the table, around the PC. I'll clean it... Maybe...
