  1. New Razer Blade definitely. Desktop graphics are what separate us from peasants.
  2. Username: zedd00 1. Hardline Watercooling: https://www.vessel.com/videos/JYZEYDYx0 2. Insane Storage: https://www.vessel.com/videos/LCoY5zfFf GGWP
  3. You can hit it with two coats of flat clear lacquer when you're done to seal the brushed look in and get rid of the beat up look that came with it.
  4. Lots and lots of rendering and gaming! Also overclocking numbers for the hell of it!
  5. I'd be lying if I said I logged in to the forums for the first time in weeks just to congratulate you guys, but of course I want to win that PC. *prays to RNGesus* To Linus Media Group, I thank you guys too for having the information you have readily available to nerds like me when we needed it. And for providing your steady stream of content that provides both education and entertainment all the time. I first ran into your channel two years ago when I built my first rig, hoping to get some information on the then new Bulldozer processors from AMD. For weeks, I've been cross referencing the hardware I found interesting from local retailers with the videos that you guys had on them before considering them into my build. Since then, I'd watch your videos every day and even replay past episodes of the WAN Show in the background during long, boring MMORPG sessions. I also use your videos to recommend products to other friends that ask for my opinions, and have even used Techquickie videos to teach the shmucks at work. I'd probably get no response to this, and would not increase my chances of winning the PC, but since you guys will be monitoring this thread, I'm sure, just know that I'm one of the guys whose life you affected massively in a positive, and very nerdy way. Thank you.
  6. I already know most of the things on Techquickie, but this one really taught me what I needed to know. As fast as possible. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE7Bfw9lFfs I like his Jayz' build guides mostly, so it took me a while to actually choose a "favorite", so let's go with the Gunnar one, being one that shares all his opinions on the product. I can haz PSU and GPU pzl
  7. I don't have AC4 yet, but I have the same issue with AC3. As having multiple monitors not used for surround or eyefinity gaming, you would like to see other windows while playing. The way the game was coded, you really need to find a graphical setting that isn't full screen mode. The same problematic coding prevents the game from showing the FPS meter from Razer Gamebooster or Fraps. This one is on Ubisoft if there's no way to un-fullscreen AC4.
  8. Sorry, man. I don't know sh*t about TN panels. And how much pricing differs there and here. Looks like my 23" costs like $260 on newegg. Didn't realize LG products were more expensive there. Anywhoo, I was at work when I posted the last post, and now I'm home, let me just share this. Err, these. http://arckham.deviantart.com/art/Dual-408760874 Reading forums or Twitter is awesome on a portrait 23".
  9. 23' = About two cars long. 23" = About two rulers long. Hahaha. Just picking My previous setup was a $200 23" LG IPS and a $80 19.5" HP, til my parents decided to get a 42" TV and had the old 32" Toshiba gathering dust. I took the 32" and paired it with my 23", though I'm really not that happy with it coz I got used to the richness of the IPS panel. And with a lack of paperwork and packaging, I suspect that the TV is less than 60Hz coz some videos have microstutter but disappears when I switch back and forth to the 23". But now I love the screen size and am looking for a reasonably priced 32" 60Hz IPS. Anyway, as a multi-monitor-dependent, and having had to work with a student's budget back in '07-08, here's some personal insight you may or may not find useful. -You probably don't need 120Hz. Watch the NCIX video where Linus couldn't tell the difference. -Your sub monitor doesn't have to be anything fancy. If you're an IPS guy, the sub doesn't need to be IPS, you won't be gaming or watching in HD on that anyway. -I suggest orienting the sub on vertical/portrait if you have a mount that supports it. Chat programs and browsers are more easily manageable vertically when you're gaming on the other screen. You also will not need to turn your head very far from your game. -Get DisplayFusion if you could afford it. Slick has a video on it. The free version at least lets you put different wallpapers on the screens. (I think Win8 already has that built in though. I'll go guess you're on 7 like most of us.) -Getting a TV instead of a monitor can potentially give you better audio with more speakers to work with. My TV's on HDMI and outputs sound through the native speakers and my 2.1 sub. -Always consider optimum viewing distances and angles for BOTH monitors. Take care of your eyes and neck. More information on this is Googleable. -If it makes a difference to you, remember to adjust your mouse sensitivity to compensate with the new resolution. That's a few I could think of off the bat. Hope it helps.
