    I mean... you CAN make the extra 4 pin in you're willing to jerry rig it. 
     

     
    You'd just need to open up the PSU and grab a 3.3V wire, then grab the 12V, 5V, and Ground from one of the molex connectors, then shove them all into the sockets on the motherboard. The correct way would be to buy the correct 4 pin connector. The easy way would be to find a broken power supply and cut the 4 pin off of it The jerry rigged way would be to literally tape the wires into the sockets on the mobo (I don't... suggest this.)

    You can get a 20 pin to 24 pin converter.

    Back in the day you had the choice of power supplies with 20 pin main connectors or 24pin main connectors (or, if you were lucky, the 20+4 pin that you see today).
     
    This was obviously a 20 pin variant. 
     
    Sata and PCIe are old technologies.
