NGL, the devs of Valorant are obviously incompetent. System breaking bugs are bound to occur when the game basically installs an always running kernel level driver rootkit to your system. I wonder if they have/will ever get taken to court regarding Riot Vanguard...

I've had an idea. I have 32gb (4x8) of ram meaning I don't really need a page file, but if I disable my page file some old (and broken) applications will either fail to run or have very poor performance. So what if I set a ramdisk to allocate my pagefile directly to my ram? This way my pagefile will have the same performance as my actual ram, instead of running off of slower storage! Will this work and could this cause any issues if I go ahead with it?

Hi, I have an AMD FX 8350 CPU paired with an Asus M5A97 R2.0 motherboard (which has a poor 4x2 power phase vrm) and would like advice on how to achieve a stable overclock. I've spent many years trying to get it stable at 4.4ghz without my PC freezing up or BSODing and I finally achieved it a year ago but I am not sure what I did to achieve this and now my CPU speed fluctuates often when under load. What must I do for best stable OC results? (Do I need to severely undervolt my cpu, enable or disable load-line calibration, enable or disable power saving features on the motherboard?) If anyone with experience with this CPU and similar motherboard can give some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I have been looking for a PC case with specific requirements for a while now, but most are either way out of my price range or no longer available anywhere. I need a PC case that has: - At least ATX motherboard support (will accept larger cases if worth the increase in price) - Very good airflow (I am running an old fx 8350 with a motherboard that has very poor VRM, it's basically a furnace) - Some form of dust filtration (I live in a very "dirty" area next to a motorway and just outside of a major city so it collects filth quick) - Soundproofing and/or no glass panel (this is optional as long as other requirements are met) The lower the price the better and I am in the UK if that helps with availability of cases and pricing. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! <3

I have a Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2060 OC (DisplayPort V1.4) and a BenQ RL2455HM 1920x1080 (HDMI V1.4 and DVI-D [unknown version]). Does this combination support Displayport to HDMI / Displayport to DVI-D passive adapters, or does it require an active adapter? I've been trying to figure this out for weeks now but can't find the right information anywhere. Any help is greatly appreciated

Card is now considered dead. I've also now tried linux distro, reinstall windows 10, and did another thorough clean of the card. nothing worked and the card was still shutting down on startup. I've read online that the artifacting lines I got for a split second as I started up windows is likely caused by faulty/damaged vram. So I bought a new rtx 2060, plugged it in and now everything is fine. Thank you for the help. I will probably try reviving it again at a later date, sometimes I find electronics can be weird like that and start working again after a long time of not being used :D

But how could this happen out of the blue for no reason, without any changes/updates to the OS? I've read that error 43 can be caused by many different things, primarily hardware issues. Could it possibly be some kind of gpu bios issue?

So the other day my PC's graphics card (Asus GTX 770 2gb) started crashing / flickering in and out of life with graphical glitches when under high load while gaming. I thought it could be a temp issue so I decided to remove my gpu, take it apart, clean it with isopropyl alcohol 100% + compressed air, add new thermal paste, put it back together and install it again. Only issue is now it crashes instantly when the PC starts with error code 43 in the device manager, but I still get an image through DVI-D (HDMI will not work). Things I have tried to resolve the issue: DDU all nvidia drivers and reinstalling them clean Cleaned it all again (air, iso100, thermal paste) tried different pcie slot tried different power cable and slot in psu (its 750w modular 80+ gold only a year old) Another thing, whilst removing and installing the GPU first time round I forgot to switch my PSU's power off, so could it be possible that I have zapped my GPU to death?
