  1. CentOS is my favorite too (*highfive*). But I got started on Debian and I think it's easier for beginners to understand.
  2. It would help giving your post a proper title, and elaborate on what the problem is exactly. We can't help you when you say "I can't get it to boot". Give us log information.
  3. What happens when you test it in a different machine? Is the firmware up-to-date? Have you checked the SMART data?
  4. Start in verbose mode (command line option -v) to see what the problem is here...
  5. The reason you didn't get any replies is probably because it isn't clear what you want to do. If I understand you correctly, then no: it is not possible to create an arch linux install in a VM first, and then deploy it on a volume for use. Sure, copying might work, but it just won't boot.
  6. Install an OS like Ubuntu Server or Debian (without a GUI) and try it out.
  7. Have you tried turning it off and on again?

  8. I did that one hour ago. Still no email. And besides my signing up issue. I noticed the colors of video's on Vessel are... well.. uglier.
  9. What if I already have a Vessel account? How can I get my first year free? I made it when Linus started talking about it to try it out, does this mean I'm going to miss out on m1 year free Vessel?
  10. That's weird, but you can still give some away here if I run out.
  11. This. If you have Windows 8(.1), you'll have Windows Defender, which is (in my opinion) the good enough. But doing a MalwareBytes scan (free version will do fine) isn't going to hurt and will give you a bit extra piece of mind. Edit: If you have Windows 7, install Microsoft Security Essentials
  12. I, too, got some invites to giveaway. Just reply and I'll give them away. I already have one. <3
