So I read this article and was quite interested right from the beginning. According to the article "Previous establishments of unlicensed airwaves led to innovations like garage-door openers, baby monitors, wireless microphones and Wi-Fi networks". The innovation of wifi itself obviously greatly increasing our wireless capabilities as a whole. With them opening more space it could lead to even more potential for innovation and quite frankly I'm super excited to see what gets dreamed up here. Among the details on the size and frequency of the airwaves being freed up is some details on plans to try to crack down on broadcasters increasing rates "more than twice the rate of inflation for the last 20 years, according to consumer reports". This sounds quite intriguing and I can't wait to see how this goes.
What do you think?
