  1. My laptop just died, so I was thinking about taking the killer 1650ax WiFi card out and sticking it in my desktops M.2 slot, and just run the antenna's around the back of the case. Will this work? Will the m.2 see the WiFi card?
  2. So I have built a small pc to play games on my TV. Now my TV will display 4k at 60hz or 1080p at 120hz but to get that 120hz the TV needs to first receive the signal before it switches to that mode. There is no way of doing it in the TV settings so Windows of course will only give me the option of up to 4k 60hz no 1080 120hz. Is there a way in window to force the display settings? I am using an rtx2070
  3. Is there any decent 10gbe network cards with an RJ45 connection that doesn't look terrible? I'm not expecting an over the top gamer look but just a black PCB will do, I can only seem to fine green PCB ones. My pc is a bit flashy with a custom loop and a yellow and black colour scheme so I don't want to slap an out of place green PCB in there. Thanks for the advice ?

I am using an amd 5700xt if that helps. Thanks
  5. I'm thinking about getting the 5700xt but I have heard that the drivers aren't that great. I want to get the opinion of the users that actually own and run the card. So any issues to report?
  6. Yes that is a concern. I did have an old amd 390x a while back that had very buggy drivers
  7. Only wait if you are at the very tail end of the hardware life cycle. There is no point paying for something at full price when a better product is just going to launch a couple months latter at the same price. If you are a gamer then your priority should be the GPU. Of cores the CPU is important too but not as much as the GPU. Basically what I'm saying is that if a GPU launch is around the corner then it makes sense to wait, but tech never stops moving so don't wait for that gpu to only then wait for the new shiny cpu or your just going to waste your time waiting.
  8. So I'm building a pc soon and I have the option of the Rtx2070 (none super) or the RX 5700xt. Both are the same price at £350 over hear in the UK but what one is the better option as far as performance goes? Ray tracing is nice but as there is only a few games that support it, I'm not to bothered for now. I just want the best FPS possible.
  9. Cool I will set it up in bridge mode then thanks. I will let you know if it solves the internet down time as well as it seems to happen every couple of days. Thanks to everyone for there help.
  10. OK could that be the reason I sometimes get an error saying IP configuration error in my web browser and my internet goes down for a few minutes?
  11. So I have been using my ISP's provided router with the WiFi turned off and my Asus RT88u connected to it via ethernet cable as it gives me better signal through out my house. I'v been told from my friend that I should be running my ISP's provided router in "Bridge Mode". Now I do see an option in the settings that says "bridge mode/router only" but what exactly is "Bridge Mode" and what are the benefits of it?
  12. grate that saves me some monies lol thanks a lot for your help dude.
  13. I am using a Asus maximus vii hero so will it be OK to just leave the M.2 or will I have to disable it?
