  1. Honestly, it really depends on your situation. If you aren't stationary a lot, like at home, a laptop is better, otherwise a desktop and either a smartphone or iPad will serve you better.
  2. This just makes me even more happy for my local store. I honestly hope that the IRS doesn’t let them write this off on taxes. They aren’t donating the guns, they aren’t returning them. They’re just destroying them to be virtue signaling asshats.
  3. Well Ruger knows how to make .22 firearms. This Bryco Arms is the quintessential “Saturday night special” pistol.
  4. So here is the best specimen of a pistol anyone has ever seen! yes, a Bryco Arms Jennings J-22-CA. I got it from my uncle, I traded my Raven Arms MP-25 for it. Now, this gun is cheap, and it’s not reliable. It’s very picky on ammo, and it jams up a lot. I asked my uncle about it, and he said the best luck he had was with .22 LR from CCI and I want to say Winchester and Federal ammo. He said for CCI he couldn’t remember if it was mini-mag or Stinger .22 LR. I’ll find out next time I shoot, as I bought a box of CCI mini-mags. I’m honestly hoping it works, cause when it does feed properly, it’s a fun little pistol. Plus, imo, it’s appealing to look at.
  5. There we go! I loved that show growing up!
  6. oh my god, I remember this show and the name is just fucking slipping my mind right now! As for the body hair argument, I guess I'll throw my 2 cents in. I prefer no body hair, on men or women.
  7. Jesus, well glad to hear it's healing
  8. Are you asking who it is? It's Astolfo from the fate series. Fate/Grand Order and Fate/Apocrypha
  9. I put the factory grip safety back on. I figure it can't be worse than that aftermarket one that the gun came with. I'll give this a shot first (pun intended) and see if it helps. If my hand ends up bruised up again, I'm buying a beaver tail safety.
  10. So some people piss me off. Apparently some of my preferences are absolutely sickening. (My profile picture is a hint to one of them). Without starting the whole flame war about "traps or trans," I basically got shit on in a discord server I'm in because I like traps. Like, some people were joking, "haha, ew traps." I can handle that, that shit don't bother me. But there's one member who takes it way to far, to the point he's basically posting like, "Ew, traps, why the fuck would you post that gay shit. I'm literally sickened right now. (insert a bunch of sick and vomiting emojis). Like, I'm physically ill! Traps should be illegal, why do you have to be so gay. I'm fucking sickened, this shit is disgusting. I don't wanna turn gay. All traps look like children, you fucking child pr0n pedo. It'd be cute if it wasn't for the fucking dick." Then he inserts a bunch of pictures of crosses like that's supposed to do something. I also wish I was exaggerating his responses, sadly I'm not. He's not joking either. I can handle jokes, those don't bug me, but this guy kills the mood of the server. I enjoy it because I play Rainbow Six Siege and Ghost Recon Wildlands with some people on there, we have fun, I get along with most members. But nothing happens to this jackass because he's irl friends with one of the admins.
  11. Out of all the firearms I own and the ones I’ve shot, I have to say my favorite is still my Ruger 10/22. It’s not the most powerful thing ever, but it’s reliable, durable, and I’ve never had it jam on me once. I got it as a Christmas present many years ago from my stepdad, who I pretty much consider a dad. It was his for many years and one of his favorite rifles also. Eventually I’ll pass it down to my kid if I ever have one. Sorry for the pinkish hue, don’t know why my phone did that
  12. Lol, same here, I’m thinking of trying the factory safety on it first, since I already have that.
  13. Well my full sized 1911 I got for free since it was a birthday gift, and the compact I paid $450 for. Up here, Kimbers are way overpriced for what they are. My boss recently got one and I know he paid over $1000 for it at Scheel's. I think he said he paid close to $1300 or $1400 for it. This is off the top of my head though, I don't remember the exact number, I just know it was over $1000.
  14. It is uncomfortable. As mentioned earlier, it bruised up my hand pretty well. I didn't get the safety. It came with the gun also. I bought it used, the guy who the shop got it from installed that safety, they left the factory safety also. Also, as for 1911's, nothing beats the original, Colt. (Imo. Also, both of mine are Colt).
  15. I have a milspec safety on my full size 1911, I've had zero issues with that. Granted, it's a full sized handgun and not a compact.
  16. The seller threw in a factory safety that the 1991A1 came with (which is the mil spec safety). So I could try that one. As for the in theory portion, it was to cover before someone wanted to be a smartass.
  17. So a few things. I took my mom's new pistol out there to break it in, it's a little Taurus chambered in .380. It's not a bad concealed carry pistol considering it's very budget price. I only have two gripes with it really, even with my smaller hands, my pinkie hung off the grip and as a result I could never hold it properly, and the second one is that it has the longest and heaviest trigger pull I've ever dealt with. You really have to want to shoot this thing to get it to fire, which I guess is a good idea in concealed carry, won't go off in the holster then. Took my compact 1911 out again, I was trying to get used to that thing. It kicks harder, obviously, shorter barrel and all. But that fucking safety, I couldn't get used to it. (for those who don't know, 1911's have a safety built into the grip, basically, you actually have to hold the gun right [in theory], to fire.) That safety actually bruised up my hand. That's how the safety is on my compact 1911, as you can see, it's pointed down, so it wedge's into my hand. The gun came with this safety. So I'm looking at something like this that curves up. Maybe then it will dig in less. I can handle the kick, but that safety is beating me up. As for my shotgun, oh it's fun. I first tried it with my boss's 2 3/4" shells. Not so bad, what I expected. I used the shells I bought, 3 inch, high brass magnums, according to the box. I loaded 5 in. I was expecting a bigger kick, but damn, it hurt, lol. It hit me hard. I shouldered the shotgun perfectly, like my stance, the way I was holding it, everything, couldn't get more textbook. I know I'll get used to it over time though. As for my AR-15. First magazine, the factory 10 round magazine. Perfect. The 20 round military surplus magazine, perfect. The first 30 round magazine. 5 or 6 rounds in, bolt locks open. It did it again, shell stuck in the chamber. Last time the shell was perfectly intact. This time though: Extractor caught it, but it was lodged in there so tight, that part of the shell tore off. At least, that's my guess. I took out that brand of ammo from my giant ammo can filled with .223 and 5.56.
  18. Going to the boss’s place again. After cleaning and checking everything out on my AR from last time, I’m hoping it works now. I’m going to start with the factory mag, just in case, JUST IN CASE, it’s a feeding issue. That one should be guaranteed to work the most out of all my AR mags. Wish me luck.
  19. Demolition Ranch did a video on the new Desert Eagle, he said it does a lot to tame the .357. While I’ve never gotten the chance to fire one, I know quite a few people who have fired .50 BMG. Every single one has said it was fun to fire, but also gotta remember muzzle brakes help a lot, among other things.
  20. I’ll keep that in mind then, last I looked into it, prices were more expensive upfront.
  21. I’ve never seen anything in there, granted I’ve still not seen the entire store. this guy is cool, plus to order off of cheaper than dirt and use his FFL is cheaper than the Ace Hardware here, $35 is better than $50.
  22. Again, I’d rather support the local business, plus he gives me good deals on firearms and ammo
  23. ..okay? Good for you. That doesn’t change the fact that there’s no where to recycle out here.
  24. Lol, I didn't mean to walk out with a 12 gauge.
