  1. Yeah, that is a GREAT program for peripherals but it doesnt do PC Hardware. I use it for my Logitech stuff just due to the freedom it gives me with customizing my KB/Mouse/Headset. I did just send the creator of that project an email to see if it would be something he would be willing to branch off into though.
  2. Now, I am not sure if this has been asked or posted before but.... Here goes. The current state of RGB Software is a MESS for PC Hardware, very few components work together properly and even fewer have cross compatibility. Proprietary Hardware/Software are making things even more difficult than they need to be, my question is if there is any people on here willing to collaborate on making a unified program for RGB Support a cross all Manufacturers (Or even just the popular ones)? I am not a coder or programmer (I have tried MULTIPLE times to learn but I think I'm too old LOL) so I cant even offer assistance in any way other then being willing to set things up to make it easier (Eg: Forums, Possibly purchase software that may be required and stuff like that), now I cant speak for everyone in the world but personally I would be willing to pay for such a program if it worked, had proper support and updates. After searching the web MANY times and finding parts that are on the "Supported" lists for cross compatibility for multiple builds, far too often I am either stuck with 1-2 parts not working as intended or the SW itself being completely useless/limited. If this is something you would be interested in applying yourself to and willing to work with others on, perhaps this can turn into something amazing and those that have hand in creating it could turn into a potential source of income. Please feel free to comment below or simply message me on here (Or any where you see this name, 99% sure I'm the only one LOL)
  3. Yeah, I have tried reinstalling both iCue & Armoury, just Armoury, just AURA Sync, all three. Made sure I cleaned everything up after each uninstall though so there would be no random strings/files. Weird thing is, everything else works flawlessly but the RAM. I verified its on the supported list and everything prepurchase, looked around and (At the time of planning) found no one with any issues that wasnt solved with a simple file addition. Damned if I can figure it out, weird thing is though. iCue shows the MB, RAM and GPU, will control those but none of the ARGB headers. So its either have my RAM look lame or have my fans/strips look lame. Maybe I will try fiddling with iCue some more, maybe I can get it to control my ARGB headers and then stop ripping my hair out LOL!
  4. So, as the title says I am at my wits end here. I have installed Armoury Crate (Duh) and looked online and followed every single scrap of info I can find but.... Even though the Corsair RAM is showing in the Crate and is "Linked", the SW will not change it or control it. It controls everything else but NOT the RAM. Any help or info would be appreciated. I tried to log into the ASUS ROG Site to get help but it wont let me log in LOL so here I am!
  5. Honestly, I would worry more about updating your system itself. If you can "handle" onboard graphics for the time being, I would recommend getting a better mobo/CPU and then going for a GPU. If you are "needing" a GPU, I would say go for something a little higher in the lineup just to future proof.
  6. @jonnyGURU So any 12v connection will supply 4amp if the board asks for it, I mean if I understand what you are saying correctly.
  7. Ahhhhh ok, thats the part I was unsure of. I didnt know if it was constant (Based on board req) or if was just all or nothing.
  8. Yeah, don't have a multi-meter (Anymore, it died ?). Looks like I will have to pick one up, will be handy to have one again. Does the amperage change on the 12v wires or is it constant as well @Spotty?
  9. Anyone else have any input on this?
  10. So, dual PCIE 6 pin = 12v/4a? Splicing those into one connection would work?
  11. Ok, just have a couple of questions that maybe someone can answer for me: A little background first, I have some PC parts laying around and decided I wanted to make an LCD side panel for poops n giggles. I have all the parts (I think) I need already but before I get started I wanted to ask for some info. 1. I need 12v/4a to connect to the LCD mainboard, is there a PSU connection (4pin/12pin etc) that will output that without a stepdown/up? Eg: Take off the cable connector, slap on a 12v Barrel head adapter and off I go. 2. Is there a standardize Volt/Amp output for PSU's Connectors or is it all based off PSU Size (Wattage)? Will most likely have more questions as the answers come in! Thanks for your assistance.
  12. Question for everyone, who would you recommend to produce a PC case I have designed? I mean just for myself, not mass production or anything but just one.
  13. You make a very good point Asusfan about the Military green with the Sabertooth Mobo..... Might be another option, thanks. Everyone keeps saying Samsung 840, I guess I could just paint the orange square black....
  14. I started out with Intel AGES ago, changed to AMD about 4 systems back and have not looked back. IMO if your simply using the system for gaming and general usage then yes go with AMD, if your looking for High End Video Editing, High End Photo Editing and other HEAVY DUTY uses then go Intel. Dollar for dollar AMD wins for your major gamer and average user Power wise though, for the bigger jobs Intel is the best contender.
