  1. What's on my mind? Loud(y) by Lewis del Mar, because that track is awesome :o

  2. The 360 was an awesome console when it came out and it lived a very long life. I had a lot of fun with that thing, especially on Forza Motorsport, where I've spent hours and hours tuning and designing cars. But I really think it's about time to end production... I mean it's no longer up to date with any of todays tech standards. Microsoft's decision is based on economical deliberations anyway. As it was said before that stone old hardware is getting more expensive because it is no longer produced and the product can't break-even with current market prices. Let's just keep it in good memories for the good times and let that machine RIP.
  3. Push: There must be someone in this forum who actually owns this particular card... Please share your temperatures/experiences...
  4. Which case did you get in the end? I couldn't resist buying the In Win 805. I plan to pack 2 R9 Furys in there, one to begin with and another one coming in summer. I mean yes it's going to be a lot of heat, but I think if you really occupy all ventilation options correctly (two airflow fans at the bottom, two static pressure fans in the front and one high airflow for the top back outlet) it should work out just fine. If it does NOT work out fine and I get too much heat stuck in the Case, I was thinking about cutting out a 140mm Top Outlet as a last resort...
  5. Okay, sorry didn't know that...
  6. How about the KeySonic Nano ACK-3400U? it's super cheap (in germany at least) and it's super small... I mean it definitely has no quality mechanical CherryMX-Switches and fancy stuff, but it works well I guess.
  7. AFAIK there's some kind of DIY build your own keyboard Kit out there which is exactly that size ... please google for yourself, didn't have time to find the link right now, sorry...
  8. If it still does not work: Many modern Mainboards offer a Display output of their own (mostly HDMI I guess). In order to take the graphics card out of the calculation you can try to power up the system with your monitor plugged in directly to the motherboard... If your System posts that way, there might be something wrong with your graphics card. You should check that all power connectors are plugged in correctly and your graphics card sits correctly in its PCI-E slot and give it another try maybe, but if problems remain you have to send in your card
  9. Try and check for "Molex LED Strips" or "4-pin LED Strips" on amazon, they seem to be reasonably priced and will give your case a decent look, most of them come with some kind of adhesive on the back. If you're going for magnetic ones make sure you're case is not made from aluminium...
  10. Please check all your cable connections again! Also make sure your graphics card is installed correctly (check out this video maybe it helps) Is your Monitor working with other devices?
  11. No Man's Sky is on my mind B|

  12. Sorry if I'm not gettin this right, but as I understand this, they will put GDDR5 Memory on these cards and no HBM? By the way since you were discussing it earlier, Hardwarecanuks or whatever their channels name is, posted a video on youtube from that event where nVidia revealed Pascal... They said that HBM1 was limited to 4GB, while HBM2 will indeed be able to support up to 32GB (probably hasn't been tested and manufactured yet but as I understand it, 32GB is theoretically possible...)
  13. But does that picture show the cooler for a R9 fury or was that for another chip/PCB?? In other words, are you sure that this is still true for the R9 Fury from Gigabyte? Because they are the first to offer a custom cooler together with a custom PCB design for the Fury... There is absolutely no logical reason not to optimize this when they're already designing their own PCB
  14. Your statement doesn't really convince me man... I didn't come across any reviews that might confirm you. Furthermore, the same cooler designs are used on nVidia cards as well as AMD cards, so problems should be existing for both, if it's just about the cooler. Also the Windforce coolers have been made for quite a while now, so even if there were quality issues with some earlier production charges, those should be fixed by now (assuming Gigabyte does have a functioning QM in some way). Anyway, I don't want to be Mr. Smarty-pants, neither intend to start the AMD vs. nVidia ragewar here, but I'd really like to know why... why should the coolers not be well made on AMD cards if there so widely used and accepted on nVidia cards? Did you or your friends make any bad experiences with them? Or did you read about it somewhere, maybe reviews of other people who bought these cards? Please attach a link if possible
  15. Shalom fellow Techtippers, this is my first thread and post actually, I came across the Linustechtips channel when I started planning a new Rig and now I finally made it to the Forums. Reason I opened up this topic is: The NEWS topic announcing the launch of the Gigabyte R9 Fury Windforce is quite old and the forum recommended that I open a new thread on this. Anyway this thread should not be about news (as the card launched quite some time ago) but about the card and its performance. It just so happened, that I found a massive rebate on said card last weekend and couldn't resist the urge to buy it. Since I'm still stuck in Bangkok until End of April and ordered the card to be delivered to my home in germany, I wanted to ask you tech-folks about your experiences with the Gigabyte R9 Fury Windforce OC. Any of you got one? Is it running smooth and quiet? Did you experience any problems or did you encounter any massive disappointment? Have you benchmarked your card? Have you oveclocked it? ... So I guess you people see where this is going. I feel like getting some real world info about the cards performance from everyday users. Maybe I was looking in the wrong places but I couldn't find a single benchmark online, that covered this specific card. And since it's still about a month until I will finally get to build my new Rig, I really want to know if I made a nice deal on the weekend or bought a pile of trash... Looking forward to a good discussion, cheers!
