I'm looking at upgrading my PC to a 3900X and will need to purcahse some RAM. I have heard that Ryzen 3rd gen favours high clockspeeds and low latency. I've been looking at the G.Skill Trident Z RGB for styling, and can purchase the following RAM, but am not sure which would be best. G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3200MHz CL14-14-14-34 - F4-3200C14D-32GTZR - £250 G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3200MHz CL15-15-15-35 - F4-3200C15D-32GTZR - £218 G.Skill Trident Z RGB 32GB (16GB x 2) 3600MHz CL16-19-19-39 - F4-3600C16D-32GTZRC - £180 I've had trouble locating sellers of the G.Skill RAM in the UK, but these are what I have found so far. Ideally I'd like to overclock the RAM to 3600MHz, is the CL14 kit worth the price difference? Which of these would is best paired with the 3900X, and which would you suggest is the better to go for?

I'm looking to downsize my current NZXT Phantom 820 and was looking at either the Define R6 TG or the Dark Base 700. I have 6 Hard Drives which is why I have narrowed it to these two cases, and both are available in white. The motherboard inversion of the 700 would also be good as my PC is to the left rather than the right. Which of the two should I go for? Any help is appreciated!

I've been away from the forums for quite some time, popping in once in a while. Granted, the question is pretty off topic, but I would like some opinions. I'm looking at undertaking a TEFL course so that I may teach English abroad in Asia. However I don't know if I should or not. It's a pretty big decision and I literally have today to decide. The course costs £250 and gets me certified as being able to Teach English as a Foreign Language. I'm just having conflicting thoughts about it since I will have to leave most of my things behind; and if I manage to secure a job but I find I'm absolutely terrible and they hate me then it's kind of a waste. I'd have to learn the language whilst I'm there so there's that too; although I have read that that's not so much of an issue as I would be an assistant English teacher. I'd also have to make new friends as well, which would likely be difficult

Yeah I re-downloaded one of the smaller files to a new location directly on the disk, it works fine now. I think the issue was the length of the file's name within subdirectories reaching the 260 character limit enforced by Windows. I'll have to re-download the other ~40GB again and rename the files ¬_¬

No error, other than when trying to move it/delete it I get the message "file not found". VLC can't play the file and crashes. I think it may be due to character length. I don't think it saved correctly since it was in subfolders and may have gone over the character limit.

I have a few large videos which display the correct file size in windows explorer, however I cannot play them. I looked at the properties and all unplayable ones show incomplete information. No created, accessed, or modified dates, and show a size and size on disk of 0 bytes. They have Japanese characters in this could be the cause of the issue. However I am not sure what the issue is.

Just an FYI they have also reduced the amount of credits you earn by 75% so they haven't really changed anything.

Yes I was asking about USB sticks and external HDDs. Smallness is beneficial, especially if I have to travel with it. Also how good would SD Cards/Micro SD cards be? Using an SD card would allow me to transfer photos and videos from my devices which is always good. Which are the better options for long term storage.

Looking at getting a large external drive for storing and playing back videos. However I am not sure what the best option would be. Either a large USB Drive or an External Drive. Which would you say would be the better choice?

Obtained two IBM servers for free, one is an IBM AS/400e Series and the other an IBM AS/400e. Both are likely in working condition; were working at the time they were taken. Exactly this. The Chinese government wants ways to monitor their citizens, deny access to areas that do not conform with their views, principles and culture. This version of Windows allows them to do this with no holds barred; custom encryption could allow the government a backdoor into every PC running the Chinese OS, allowing the government to spy and monitor those users, install malicious applications to prevent access to content and more. Yes, if a school buys them in bulk for their pupils then Windows 10 S is the better choice. However if you're a Unviversity/College student then the Surface Pro/M3/3 are the ones to go for, as they are pretty much made for students. Here in the UK colleges/universities don't really buy in laptops for their students to use. And I'm not really sure if schools buy them for their pupils, the last I knew of were iPads being used; then again I don't think the school will be buying £900+ devices for children to use.

A lot of people seem to think this is the case when in fact it isn't. The Surface book isn't aimed at students, when the perfect device for them is the Surface/Surface Pro; ultra-portable devices that have great performance, offer great note taking and have good mics and cameras for recording lectures, as well as being able to run any desktop application; Adobe software, prism, SPSS, MatLab, Endnote etc are all commonly used by students and would likely never come to the Microsoft Store. @Windspeed36 summed it up pretty well for who the Surface/Windows S laptop is aimed at.
