    Yeah, I would recommend the 6700k or the 6800k.

    I believe the fans are standard 120mm. I would suggest getting some noctuas as a replacement those things are basically silent.

    $3500 USD? If so, this is a great build.It is under $3500 so it lives you with about 1k to buy monitors accessories or whatever else you might need.

    I actually didn't get it, I went for the a brand new GS72. It was about $20 more but you get the 6gb 970m (which i know is sorta useless).

    This Build here will give you a much more solid experience, the inclusion of the new Pascal 1080 will help with video editing/rendering. Because you are also in the $3000~ prices range you are able to afford much more premium parts.

    What is the best air cooled 1080 on the market currently. This is disregarding price.

    If this is for visual effects you may want to consider getting the 1080, or a quadro card, as the GTX line are intended primarily for gaming.

    Nope. The closest thing you can get would be an Acer X34 but it is outrageously more expensive compared to the LG, it is also 1440p so...
