  1. I would love the "NEW Razer Blade 14" - I definitely prefer the better performance - for Legion on the road! Also, 1080p is the perfect resolution with that display size, both for usability and battery life.
  2. Linus, thank you. Thank you for everything! I love your content; every single bit, but especially your build guides - it has been a while since I built my rig, but your videos convinced me to build it myself, and I haven't stopped building since! I found you a long time ago, randomly browsing YouTube and there you were. Been addicted ever since! Luke, you're fantastic too; I get so happy every time I see you on a thumbnail, no matter what the video is about! Oh, and regarding the giveaway:
  3. I get your point, but I really want to be able to game on the go aswell (LoL). And that laptop with the 745M is only 1200 USD, so it's actually not that expensive imo.
  4. Ah, that's of course an important factor. Thanks for your answer!
  5. Hi guys! I'm in high school, and atm I'm using a 2006 Thinkpad, which is beginning to act really slow. Therefore, I'm in the market for a new laptop: 1. What is your budget? - I have a max of around 1810 $ 2. What is the size of the notebook that you are considering? - 13.3" - 14" 3. What screen resolution do you want? - Min. 1600x900, prefer 1920x1080 4. Do you need a portable or desktop replacement laptop? - Portable laptop 5. How much battery life do you need? - Would like something that can last a whole schoolday, which equals about 6-8 hours. I have easy access to power, though. 6. Do you want to play games with your laptop? If so then please list the games that you want to with the settings that you want for these games. (Low,Medium or High)? - It has to be able to do some light-to-casual gaming. I wanna play LoL on pretty reasonable graphics (like medium/high), CS:S (which requires nothing to run, basically), some other Source games and Rift (would prefer medium/high). LoL is the most important though. 7. What other tasks do you want to do with your laptop? (Photo/Video editing, Etc.) - Because I have movie-making as a subject in school, the CPU needs to be able to handle Sony Vegas Pro. I wanna be able to do some light PS too. Of course, I'm also gonna use it for web-browsing, the Office pack etc. 8. How much storage (Hard Drive capacity) do you need? - 256+ GB SSD 9. If you are considering specific sites to buy from, please post their links. - http://www.mm-vision.dk/produkter/visgruppe_notebook.as... - http://www.komplett.dk/k/kc.aspx?bn=10011 PS: unfortunately both Danish sites, but I linked directly to the laptop section of both. 10. How long do you want to keep your laptop? - Around 3 years (my high school time) 11. What kind of Optical drive do you need? DVD ROM/Writer,Bluray ROM/Writer,Etc ? - None. 12. Please tell us about the brands that you prefer to buy from them and the brands that you don't like and explain the reasons. - I really like ASUS, because I have only heard good things about them, and their build quality is often very nice. - I'm not comfortable with buying a HP, as I have heard a lot of really bad things about especially their cooling system. The first site I linked to only carries one brand; Vision. I haven't seen one of this in real life, but I really like the price-to-performance ratio it looks like they can deliver. I'm planning on driving to their store next week to try them out. 13. What country do you live in? - Denmark (so every price is in DKK) 14. Please tell us any additional information if needed. - I have especially looked at two of the Vision laptops: "Vision G-Series G4459 14'' UltraSlim bærbar" and "Vision B-Series B4485 14'' UltraSlim bærbar". I think I like the last one better, because of the ULV processor and the dedicated GT745M graphics card. I looked up reviews on both GPUs (GT745M and the HD5200) and can it really be true, that the HD5200 outperforms the GT745M? Thanks, Caspar
  6. At the moment, I am running a Samsung 830 128GB SSD as my bootdrive, and for a lot of my regular-used programs. I got this drive, because I read a lot of really good reviews on it, and then my dad gifted it to me as a Christmas-present. For my movies/music/photos I use a Samsung HD154UI 1.5TB drive. I use this drive, because it came with my last pre-build PC (not going there again), and when I built my first DIY, I didn't see any reason to NOT use it. For my games I use a recently-bought WD Black 1TB drive. Before I got the Black, my games were also on the Samsung HD154UI, but I was very close to the limit, so I decided to get a new drive - and when I was buying a new one anyways, I didn't see any reason not to buy a high-performance one! So, all in all, I'm pretty happy with my current setup. I am planning to buy a NAS soon though, so a couple of Reds wouldn't hurt me one bit ;-) Twitter: https://twitter.com/CasparOlesen/status/377900728884273152 (@CasparOlesen) Tumblr: http://potterheadsuniteinglory.tumblr.com/post/60961313149/wd-red-4tb-giveaway-linus-videos-news-and (@potterheadsuniteinglory) FB: https://www.facebook.com/caspar.olesen/posts/10200398659473826 (Caspar Olesen)

  10. Hey guys! I'm looking for a laptop (I currently don't own one). I'm primarily going to use it for school, but I also wanna play some games on the go. Low/Medium graphic settings is all fine, when I can play everything on Ultra back home ;-) I stumbled upon an ASUS S56CM at my local store, and because I work there, I get some discounts. Specs: Intel Core i5-3317U processor (1.7 GHz) (dual core, 4 threads) 15,6" HD display (1366 x 768) 6 GB DDR3 RAM (1600 MHz) 500 harddisk +24 GB SSD hybriddisk 100/1000 LAN, Wireless network (b/g/n) and Bluetooth NVIDIA GeForce GT635M with 2 GB DDR3 og HDMI DVD-burner USB 3.0, webcam og cardreader Numpad keyboard Windows 8 [64-bit] Weight: 2,3 kg. Price: 955 USD (Denmark prices - yuck) I don't really want to exceed this price point by too much. Is that some okay specs? And is that 1366x768 resolution really as bad as everyone says? Thanks! /Caspar Note: Sometimes the S56CM is also listed as K56CM - don't ask me why :P Link: http://www.asus.dk/Notebooks/Superior_Mobility/S56CM/
