  1. I don't think so. The screen always says "press enter setup to recover bios settings" when that happens, so it means the bios settings are always resetting.
  2. was able to replug every cable I could, and also once again reseated the RAM, but still no luck. I couldn't remount the CPU because I have no thermal paste available
  3. Only did reseat the GPU since it got in the way of the CMOS battery, but not the CPU. Will try this.
  4. Every time I try boot-up my PC for the first time after plugging it in on the wall outlet, my PC starts to light up then immediately shuts down, then a few seconds later it starts to boot-up again (check video) however, when I shutdown the PC and boot it up again without unplugging it to the wall outlet, it boots up normally. The weird behavior only happens when I try to boot the for the first time PC after plugging it in to the wall outlet. This has been going on for a while now and today is the only time that I have the time to take care of it due to my busy schedule. I'm pretty sure it's not a dead CMOS battery since the time and date on my PC is still synced. Specs: i5-6400 Asus H110M-D GTX 1060 4GB x 2 RAM 500GB Samsung 870 Evo 1TB x 2 HDD Seasonic 520w M12ii Fixes I tried: - Clearing CMOS (removing battery from motherboard) - Updating BIOS - Swapping the positions of the RAMs - Reseating 24-pin for Motherboard and 4 pin for CPU power - Reseating GPU been considering to buy a new PC since this is old but I still don't have the budget for a new one. Any help would be appreciated, thanks! 341891928_5977634659014361_7917719321792180793_n.mp4
  5. Will definately do this tomorrow, thank you. So the next time I wiggle my RAM, it shouldn't deadlock correct?
  6. Holy crap, it did lock up. Is it better to use an eraser or a q-tip with a bit of alcohol to clean the ram modules? Also, I don't really have access to a air compressed can. Is it safe to just use a brush (I use a big paint brush to brush off dust lol) to brush the RAM sockets?
  7. Hey! For some reason, my computer has a habit of suddenly freezing (deadlock) while gaming. When it freezes, I just force shut down the computer (by holding the power button) and manually turning it on again then running "sfc /scannow" and "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" in Powershell that is ran as an administrator. Running the SFC command seemed fine however, when running the DISM command, I noticed that it goes from 0% to 50% then suddenly jumps to 100% saying that the restore operation completed successfully. Is this normal? I have even done a clean installation of windows in my machine but the percentage still jumps. I have looked at its logs (CBS.log) and this is what the summary says: 022-08-23 17:22:16, Info CBS Appl:Feature On Demand package without explicit comparator, using GE on build version 2022-08-23 17:22:16, Info CBS Appl:Feature On Demand package without explicit comparator, using GE on build version 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Package Format: PSFX 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Package Format: PSFX 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Appl:LCU package and revision compare set to explicit 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Package Format: PSFX 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Repr: Staged package check completes 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS Exec:Only CSI metadata corruption found, Process CSI repair. 2022-08-23 17:22:19, Info CBS FLOW: Entering stage: RepairCsi 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 00000009 Creating NT transaction (seq 1) 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000a Created NT transaction (seq 1) result 0x00000000, handle @0x12328 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000b Transaction UoW: {b76d982c-22b8-11ed-89b6-9c5c8e886673} for BeginTransaction 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000c@2022/8/23:09:22:20.111 Beginning NT transaction commit... 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000d Transaction UoW: {b76d982c-22b8-11ed-89b6-9c5c8e886673} for CommitTransaction 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000e@2022/8/23:09:22:20.271 CSI perf trace: CSIPERF:TXCOMMIT;160144 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CSI 0000000f StoreCorruptionRepair transaction completed. 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Repr: Finished repairing CSI store. 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS FLOW: Entering stage: RemoveStagedPackages 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS ================================= 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Checking System Update Readiness. 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Summary: 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Operation: Detect and Repair 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Operation result: 0x0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Last Successful Step: Remove staged packages completes. 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Total Detected Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CBS Manifest Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CBS Metadata Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Manifest Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Metadata Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Payload Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Total Repaired Corruption: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CBS Manifest Repaired: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Manifest Repaired: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Payload Repaired: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CSI Store Metadata refreshed: True 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Staged Packages: 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CBS Staged packages: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS CBS Staged packages removed: 0 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Total Operation Time: 1236 seconds. 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Ensure CBS corruption flag is clear 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Ensure WCP corruption flag is clear 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS All CSI corruption was fixed, ensure CorruptionDetectedDuringAcr is clear 2022-08-23 17:22:20, Info CBS Failed to clear CorruptionDetectedDuringAcr store corrupt flag (slow mode trigger). Also looking at the summary, Seconds between initial corruption detections and Seconds between corruption and repair is -1 and I believe this isn't normal. I have searched the web for answers but it doesn't seem that there is a solution that is the same as my problem. I hope that anyone could give some advices on what to do. Cheers! NOTE: and yes, all my of drivers are updated and I have tried other troubleshooting methods to solve my deadlock problem but it doesn't seem to work for me.
  8. Please forgive me, I know a thing or two about basic networking. So I have this CCTV system that is placed above my house, in my bedroom. Is there anyway I can locally access it in my computer using Ethernet through a series of routers? (Refer to the attached picture.) I cant connect the cctv directly to the first router because there's only 1 ethernet cable running downstairs. I already tried things. I tried to bridge my 2nd router to the 1st one (provided by ISP). It all combines well but It seems that I cant get internet from the 2nd router. I also disabled the 2nd router's DHCP for me to locally connect, but it wont work. All replies would be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
  9. Hi So soon, we will be switching to a fiber connection from DSL connection. But from what I've heard from most of my friends that are currently subscribed to the same ISP, they are giving out crappy routers. I was thinking that I could reuse my current router (TL - WR840N) from TP Link as a substitute for the router they're giving out? If I could, is it okay to use a normal ethernet cable like a cat 5e as a connection from the provided router to mine? Wouldn't it affect the broadcasted speed? Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question, I'm no brainer when it comes to networking ? But all replies would be appreciated Thanks in advanced!
  10. Update: its freaking happening again and its getting annoying. I shutted down my PC earlier because I went somewhere. But now I started it, its starts to type wierd stuffs again. What now?
  11. Update Sorry for the late reply. I was not able to borrow a keyboard from one of my mates but I was able to fix the problem. I went to Devices and Printers Then I right clicked on the keyboard and clicked troubleshoot. The troubleshooter appeared then it did its thing then it showed me a result saying "Fixed Keyboard not Responding" (Forgot to screenshot it lol) As of now as I'm typing, I am not experiencing the problems that I have experienced before. Maybe I'll get back to you guys if it still persists. But anyways, thanks for all the replies and I appreciate it alot! Cheers!
  12. Already did that too, I removed it, then it reinstalls automatically again, even tried to replug it back in
  13. .ts kinda late right now, maybe I'll borrow one from my mates tomorrow, I'll just update you guys.
