  1. after searching, i found this: http://www.driveridentifier.com/scan/conexant-smartaudio-hd/driver-detail/7FBBC4DFBD804D038148D6F91553DBA5/459822/1b02da4bbd4e7eb20a2f393df3a2fba7/1427125467/HDAUDIO%5CFUNC_01%26VEN_14F1%26DEV_5067%26SUBSYS_1179FFD4 however, the driver shown on the page is identical with my current one and there is no change after installing it. I think I might just tinker around with some spare audio cables and come up with a small interface that lets me switch between speakers and headphones without unplugging anything
  2. i tried to run the setup and it said that it didn´t find the device for the drivers
  3. I looked it up again and it actually uses conexant drivers. I did search for newer ones but it seems I am on the current version
  4. I would think so. Here´s a video of a teardown so you can see what kind of work awaits you:
  5. Well. if you have the skills to adjust a case or build one from scratch to fit the ps4´s components (nothiing is in pc case compatible format except for the hard drive)I see no reason why it wouldn´t work. You will have to watch out though as most connections between the mobo and the other components are ribbon cables which are just long enough to fit the ps4 case, as well as fan connectors. You would also have to adjust for decent airflow. If you care about the looks of it (for example putting in a window to see the mobo) you will probably have to build a custom heatsink as the standard one covers the complete pcb, and the mobo itself also isn´t a thing of beauty. If you can do it, have fun but i would advise to do the measurements and testfitting with a dead ps4 as the repair cost is insanely high and you will void your warranty to the point where its not even funny anymore.
  6. So recently my Toshiba laptop decided that sometimes, it will just freeze when I dare to unplug my 3.5mm audio jack and then plug it in again (which is a major annoyance as I frequently switch between my headphones and my speakers). I am currently running windows 7 with the standard audio drivers. Does anybody know how this is caused and how to resolve it?
  7. Will you use it for school only? Because, if you just use it for writing and presentations a 970m or better would seem to be a bit overkill (and a small 13inch ultrabook would be more practical, too)
  8. first video game was nfs underground 2 on the ps2, first pc game was anno 1404.
  9. "In search of incredible" seems quite fitting here I´m pretty hyped for the result
  10. That Dominator RAM looks so good are you going to overclock the 6700k?
  11. mini update: acrylic and the vinyl for it arrived. now waiting for the led strip and the wood casing for the infinity mirror have a nice day!
  12. I´m excited too see how that turns out
  13. Update: Painting is complete! The other two panels turned out much better as well. Some Pics: The fully assembled case The left side panel (with a minor scratch that my dear mother put into it) the top Next step is the assembly of the infinity mirrors for the gaping holes in the front of the case. Sadly, non of the parts made it to my evil hideout so I´ll have to wait one to two weeks until I can continue the project. And on this bombshell it´s time to end the show. Have a nice day
  14. I did use a primer (not a good one though) I didn´t want to spend any money on the case as I´m saving up for a proper system. The only things I´ll buy for this have to be reusable and primer, coat and the color I would need would set me back around 35€ which I neither have or want to spend. If this would be my main system I would´ve made a lot more effort than I did with this project.
