  1. My Gigabyte GTX 960 had the same problem. I fixed it by installing MSI afterburner and enabling a custom fan mode. In the fan settings I set the "Temperature hysteresis" higher. I have mine at 3°C currently and it works fine.
  2. OK thanks for your advice. But pushing it a little without increasing the voltage is fine?
  3. The motherboard is crap to be honest, the PC was once a pre-built system of which just the PSU, CPU and mobo survived. So not that much potential ^^ But I will try what this thing is capable of
  4. Hey guys, my brother just got himself a Sapphire Nitro RX480 (4gb) and it performs quite well. However, he is experiencing heavy framedrops (from >60 to ~20fps for a couple seconds), especially in open world titels. Is this because the CPU is a bottleneck and would overclocking it help? (It's at stock now, with a BeQuiet Pure Rock) Thanks for your help
  5. You could become a fan of overclocking once you do it I would always go with high tier cards, such as Asus Strix, EVGA FTW Edition, Gigabyte G1, etc.
  6. If I was you I would buy 8gb of RAM because it's enough right know and easy to upgrade. With the money saved you could get a 1070 for nice 1440p and perfect 1080p gaming. Also thought about a 6600k and z170 mb?
  7. I already use a pcie sound card, so no option... But thanks for your help
  8. I have the Bose AE2 (I know not the best for the money they cost), so unfortunately it doesn't work
  9. Sounds like a great deal. Unfortunately I live in Germany and they say nothing about their international shipping costs... (Just that it is more expensive than in the US) + Taxes and everything would make this as expensive as buying it in Germany, so not worth it thanks anyways
  10. So he just clips it to his headphone cable and it works decent?
  11. 60€ in Germany Boom arm would be another 10€ and it picks up background noise...
  12. Hello everyone, since I have dropped my 8€ speedlink mic a few weeks ago, people on Teamspeak are complaining about some weird noises it makes, so I guess I need a new one. I am looking for something just like the modmic: I should be able to attach it to my headphones (since it's kinda annoying to have two cables) and it shouldn't pick up every sound in my room. The only problem I have is, that I don't want to spend 60€ for a microphone when I am not even doing voice overs or recording things. So maybe you have a cheap alternative or anything else that would solve my problem Max. budget would be around 30€.
  13. NZXT Noctis N450 But actually airflow is decent in most cases these days. Just go with one you like
  14. sell your 970 and get a 1070, that will save you a lot of trouble
  15. Thought about selling your 980, avoid SLI, avoid a lot of problems and get a 1080?
  16. Dont get a Titan Z, it was never a good card to buy. With a GTX 1060 you can easily hit 200+ fps is CSGO. If you have too much money and want some overkill and good video editing you might consider a GTX 1080, but a Titan XP is just too much.
  17. If you just want to boot quicker I recommend getting the SSD. I would go with an 850 evo. I personally have one and really like it. Also older models tend to have problems with Windows 10.
  18. If you transfer Data SATA2 will be a bottleneck, but when browsing etc. a SATA2 connector is just a little slower than SATA 3, so it's hardly noticeable. My brother also has his SSD on a SATA 2 connector and it runs just fine
  19. AMD FX-8350 (I don't like it ^^) BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3 Gigabyte Windforce OC GTX 960 4gb (Also not the best...) Asus M5a99x G-Skill Ares 16gb Samsung 850 evo 250gb Some 1TB HDD Asus Xonar DX (sound card) Some DVD writer thing Corsair 200r EVGA G2 650W (obviously :D)
  20. I got the G2 650W a few days ago and love it
  21. Sorry my grammar failed I had to unplug all my parts (like usb header cable, graphics card, sound card, etc.) but the cpu itself + cooler was one of the only things I left in the PC ^^
  22. Hey guys, today I replaced my Corsair VS 650 with an EVGA G2 650. To swap out all the cables I had to unplug everything but the cpu. After installing the PSU the PC didn't post at first. After restarting a few times it worked and I first set all my OC-settings to default (I had my CPU at 4.5 ghz and a pretty high voltage before) and that's basically it. Now the PC doesn't turn on the first try (all the fans are spinning, HDD is spinning and everything that should light up lights up, but no post on the screens) and I have to restart it a few times to make it work... Do you guys have any idea why this happens? I have absolutely no idea how to fix this... My specs: AMD FX-8350 Asus M5a99x BeQuiet Dark Rock Pro 3 Gigabyte GTX 960 For storage some HDD and a 850 evo (250gb) Asus Xonar DX EDIT: It worked for 5 times in a row now so everything seems to be fine again ^^
  23. Officially nobody knows about it, and it depends on a lot of different factors, such as MVP stars and the rank you have been playing against. Still it seems kinds random to me. I had an account on Silver 1, played with a friend against MG and didn't get an uprank after a win streak of 7-8 games...
